Really impressive they booked a good lineup despite Post and Killers being on it.
I really hope this sells well because it’s for sure a break from the mold of a lot of the major fests the last few years. There’s some creativity put into it instead of just booking the yearly C3 darlings.
It's going to be sad when something like Young the Giant plays against Grace Jones and Grace's crowd will make Blur's crowd at Coachella look like Bad Bunny in San Juan.
I'm assuming Grace will be during one of the headliners; really hope it's Tyler. Not expecting a big crowd from her but who cares?

Not a big deal, just a sad byproduct of a good booking.

Sub placement at OSL is unpredictable - they could very well throw her on the main at 6pm - but I feel like the most likely name against Tyler is the Postal Service.

I have a hard time envisioning any of Postal Service/Grace/Kaytranada happening before sundown just given the nature of their shows, though I wonder if GJ might end up at Sutro instead of Twin Peaks, and perhaps Kaytra goes on before Tyler instead of at Twin Peaks.
Also I would have to think Post is closing the main stage one of the nights, maybe after Sturgill? PS vs Tyler and GJ vs Post would be a best case scenario.

Hope this means Sturgill will pop up a few more places. I don't want to have to go all the way to SF to see him but I will. How is resale for this, generally?

Depends on the year, but I've never seen it fall as drastically as Coachella the past 2 years.
Single day is way easier to do obviously because they actually sell wristbands.
this is such an awesome lineup for my taste. really hope neither grace jones nor postal service conflict with tyler but i think im full send. the undercard from the third line down + schoolboy q is really fucking good
soo i pulled the trigger, this will be my first OSL ever. Anything I should know? like protips, best way to get to the venue, scheduling trends etc. i know they have conflicting headliners but is this always the case? like will the top 1-3 all conflict with 4-6? just hoping something like postal service into sturgill or killers is possible

It'll be great. Unfortunately the scheduling is pretty conflict-maximizing and each day Lands End, Twin Peaks, and Sutro stages all close around the same time. You can easily split the Sutro-Lands End conflict but getting to Twin Peaks from there takes about 10-15 minutes.
It's also possible to get Postal Service into Sturgill or Killers. 6 of the 9 top names played on Lands End last year.

Also gotta remember Post. Hopefully he plays after Sturgill which would greatly reduce the risk of sturgill conflicting with PS or Grace. But I’d assume at least two of PS/Grace/Kaytra close twin peaks against a headliner.

as far as the top 9 i’m most concerned with seeing Tyler, The Postal Service, Grace Jones, Kaytranada, and Jungle

Yeah, theres gonna be overlap regardless. Typical sf weather for august will be cloudy/overcast with a slight chance of sun. Regardlss of the weather just hydrate, same as coachella. Your legs will thank you later. Lots of great food options thats for sure. Theres even a mini farmers market that has fruit and snacks for cheap. Hopefully you have Chase as your bank cause the discount on merch with a Chase card is clutch. Theres lots of terrain so be prepared for stairs and hills and such. Make it a point to be generally close to stages cause the sound will likely be pretty sub par compared to Coachella. Give yourself time to get to another set if you do have to go Lands End to Twin Peaks. Rideshare will be a total pain in the ass at the end of the night so hopefully you can take the Muni or have somebody drive and park within a decent distance. Its a nice fest with generally good vibes. Just be aware its pretty much a back to school final party weekend sorta thing, so talkers will be rampant and porto lines might be a little long due to people consuming substances lol.

ugh, really is worse case scenario because theres zero chance I can see Tyler, Postal Service, and Grace Jones. and a small chance i’ll only be able to see one. still have to commit though because i cant really make any other festivals happen this yr date wise

I think it's unlikely you'd only be able to see one; I would guess the main goes Postal Service -> Tyler, with Grace closing Sutro and Chris Lake closing Twin Peaks. Would be really surprised if Chris Lake is before Tyler with the other two closing Sutro/Twin Peaks, and I'd be surprised if they have Grace before Tyler leaving Chris Lake and Postal Service both on Twin Peaks (I don't really see either of those on Sutro).

good to know. going to be really hard to decide no matter which two im able to see

Depending on scheduling and your willingness to hustle you might actually be able to catch a bunch of all of them. Just looking at last year's schedule, Friday went Janelle Monae 6:55-7:55 on Lands End, Interpol 8:00-9:10 on Sutro, Kendrick 8:40-9:55 on Lands End. If they replicate that with PS/Tyler on Lands End and Grace on Sutro, you could do some splitting and see a bunch of all three.
Downside is the stages at OSL are a lot further apart from each other than Coachella for the most part.
