Everyone I know who was actually at either one of those sets thought they were great. Not sure either is embarrassing.
If they’re in to those styles of music, so be it. BLACKPINK were just really bland and lame. The tardiness, obvious backing tracks, it was over choreographed. I’m sure it’s fine if you’re into it, but going in blindly to watch it, I thought they were pretty bad compared to Rosalia before them.
I understand what you are saying. I skimmed through it last night, and like most K-pop or J-Pop, it didn’t do anything for me mostly because it’s not super musical. Wearing mics and dancing is what it is. Rosalia, at least to me, put a lot more emotion into her performance. But again, that’s who she is. I watched a lot more of her set than BlackPink’s. And then there was Diljit and what he did which was the opposite of a minimalistic production which I found very enjoyable and entertaining. To each their own

I wanted to throw out a heads up about Sunday Coachella livestreams. They generally don’t stay up all day Monday like the Friday one does Saturday and Saturday does on Sunday until the next day starts. In past years it was off at various times between 8am and 12pm. I don’t know for sure how long they’ll keep the 6 full streams on their channel, but that window closes.

Watched the replay of Chromeo and they are always good time even if it's the same set they always play. At least the La Roux part makes it different this time around. Kinda bummed I won't see them next weekend.

I forgot you were at that mfer this weekend. It certainly translated as headline worthy on tv. World-ly as it was, the crowd looked into it. It was a pretty diverse looking crowd.

Good choices to have. I personally dug the shit out Sunset Rollercoaster which made me happy they had the extra channels. I realize some of it was groovy 70’s porn jams, but I appreciated the show.

As a first time weekend 2er, God bless these streams. definitely helped solidify my plans but also get to experience stuff that I will probably only walk by and peek into.
Boygenius would've been better if each of them had done 1-2 of their best solo songs and cut some of the deeper cuts from The Record
I actually loved that it was just boygenius set especially with only a 50 minute set. I'm sure they will do some solo songs on their summer tour because I don't know how else they will fill out 90 minutes. Either they or Underworld were my set of the day.

thank goodness I’ll have an Odesza dance buddy. I worry have to miss some of it if they heavily conflict with Korn because I don’t want to miss that spectacle. But I’m also not missing all of Odesza so I might need to do a split. Haven’t seen them since like 2015 and am excited to experience their current production level.
