Gorillaz last week were completely fine and enjoyable. But weekend two has to be as good as it gets with them. From song selection to guests to production, that was all high caliber. As someone who pretty much loved their first three albums but has been so-so on the rest, that was perfect for me.

Catching up on tonight's Gorillaz set. So far massacres the W1 set, even the crowd seems a bit less terrible. Love this version of "O Green World" they've been doing, and "Sweepstakes", despite being probably one of my least favorite Gorillaz songs, was cool to hear at Demon Dayz a few years back and is even more surprising showing up here!
I actually preferred Gorillaz setlist last week. But I agree the crowd was kind of dead, and seems more up this week (at least on the stream). Preferred hearing 19–2000, and Momentary Bliss last week. Only miss for me was missing out on O Green World this week (which was truly outstanding).
Some of the Chems visuals -- swarms of crickets, creepy masks, etc -- seemed borderline cruel to those in the audience who might be on drugs, but still, they're best in class as always.
I think the takeaway from this Gorillaz set - other than that Damon knows how to throw a party - is that Mos Def might have the single greatest lyrical memory ever
The guy Bad Bunny brought out to play acoustic guitar for the slower mid-set section was the guy who wrote Feliz Navidad. A legend in latin music who has been active since the early 60s.. very neat.

If anyone happens to have a recording of that Chem Bros stream, lmk
You can back through to it until today starts over again. Chemical Brothers were great. Need to see the last shows because that ended at 5:30 when I went to bed after getting back home to watch it. So Testpilot for sure and whatever. Besides Gorillaz and Chemical Brothers, my favorite sets were all the pre-recorded clips (Domi, Teo, Comet).

Last week I was only a bit drunk when I saw them so it wasn’t too overwhelming but oh my god had I been on anything else I probably would have been crying in fear. Especially the last third of their set.

no way i'd do shroomies or L for a chem show - molly, tipsy, or sober seems like the only wise way to go lol
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Yeah gorillaz with some subtle stuff like 666 symbols and heptagrams as part of the stage production then to the second half of Chem bros probably put some into the medical tents, but nothing comes close to weekend 1 of coach 2012 when sebastiAn took stage. It was like he was creating a fucking portal on the pollo grounds that the weather literally started whirlwind/dust storm at the Sahara the moment his set began
Caught Earth Gang again. Lots of spliffs being smoked by the band. Haha. Just started Dinner Party which is my favorite act today. But I’ll watch boygenius Hiatus Kaiyote and probably diljit later along with whatever and if I don’t stay up late, I’ll watch Rosalia and Prydz again on the replay.
