That might be US. Globally Lana is second apparently.
On Spotify global SZA was the 8th most streamed artist and Lana was 10. For US SZA was 7th most streamed, Lana wasn’t in the top 10.
You’re right - I must’ve been looking at a daily chart. It looks like Lana was the 4th most streamed female globally in 2023. Above her is Taylor, SZA and Karol G. Still quite impressive!

Can we get a plot of the derivative of the Spotify Followers chart normalized to the number of total Spotify members per year and filtered for people who listen to less than 42.3 hours of music per year. Then please give us the fast fourier transform of the daily volume of new followers and compute the follower spectral density so we know who's a flash in the pan and who the legitimate headliners are.

Too delirious of a post for this early in December, try again after Christmas
Some of the Coachella RARE GETS had mixed results with crowd turnout. 2016 had 2 rare headliners(LCD & GNR) but it was Calvin who pulled the biggest crowd. No sure how ACDC or Frank did crowd-wise. We won't even discuss Blur-Roses in 2013. Even something like Replacements didn't have a crowd that reflected the cost to bring them in.
that's the cost of building a brand. Coachella is what it is because of these acts, and I guarantee PT doesn't regret booking a single one, regardless of whether there was a return on the booking cost or not.
Is Lana really a headliner when she wasn't even top billing at Lollapalooza or Outside Lands this year?
She had a headliner sized crowd at those fests and all of her bookings for next year are headline only. She hasn’t played California since 2019 and she has a very “Coachella” fanbase imo. I think she’s headline or bust

Bingo, bolded sub or RTTD makes more sense.
I think the argument has been the crowds that she draws, but crowd draw doesn't always align with billing. We saw that with Calvin Harris who was a 2020 sub/2023 RTTD.
I do hope that she is on the line up though, and I wouldn't be upset at a HL spot.

She had a massive streaming year last year and is pulling better numbers than pop veterans. She sold out Hyde Park and played Foro Sol 2 nights in a row, not to mention her crowd was massive at Lolla. I can’t see her as a sub, she would be a weaker headliner imo but nevertheless a headliner.
I think both Tyler and Lana sort of fall in that not a sub, maybe a headliner? category.
