I think the prevailing sentiment regarding The Rolling Stones around here is way off base. I think they're being lumped in with other 80s/90s "legends" and that their reach among younger people is being wildly underestimated. They are in contention for the biggest band to ever exist, they are one of the longest running continuous institutions in the entertainment industry, even beyond the music industry. And having gone to a stadium show of theirs 5 years ago there is still an incredible amount of people out there into them, and into them to the point that they ALL have merch.
Their time is running out, and at least as of 2019 they still put on a great show. If you think most zoomers can't name a song of theirs then whatever, there is a truly gigantic audience still out there that really wants to see them. Either as a once in a lifetime thing or as a one more/last time thing, or just cause they are one of the biggest names in music history and still have an enormous number of fans.
I'm not saying they'll set crowd records or singlehandedly jack up resale, but them being on the lineup is a huge deal and not just among old women in Egypt or whatever
As we’re revitalizing this dead horse, one specific point I haven’t seen debated as much is how lucrative their sponsorship and streaming rights become with more popular headliners.
For example, on streaming, I’ve had a few former colleagues that worked at YouTube on the Partnership side and they noted how lucrative the deal has been for both sides. They mentioned that a household name (like the Stones) stands out much more given folks having a larger incentive to tune into the livestream (driving ad revenue up of course, but they’ve been pushing Premium in the last few years as an additional driver). Amazon and Twitch have their own exclusive deals with ACL and OSL, but from what I hear, they are not as well watched as Coachella — likely due to combo of branding, lineup, and accessibility. I can only imagine how annoyed the partnership team gets when a headliner or popular act refuses to go live-streamed.
So what does everyone think? Do we actually get a ‘replacement’ for Doja or is she the 3rd headliner?
i feel like what will either happen iis: 1. We get our first coheadline billing since 2013 2. someone gets bumped to Returning to The Desert 3. Subs are even bigger than last year
Interpol Facebook page has the full unblurred Kilby lineup on it, the two names blurred out are Kevin Kaarl and Late Night Drive Home. Would bet both of those are on the Coachella lineup.

Here's where I think we're at in order of likelihood: - Doja replaced with a more exciting artist - Doja stays but is paired as a co-headline - Doja stays but Tyler or Lana are turned into RTTD or a double-headline to make room for a new headliner - Lana/Doja/Tyler (it's over) - No Doja, Lana + Tyler double headline or one is RTTD, 2 "new" headliners - Peso Pluma upgraded to headliner - Doja is RTTD - Doja stays, double-headliner debut, the secondary headliners are just the subs (Peso, Ice Spice) - Fred again.. - No Doja, No Lana, No Tyler. Complete fakeout top 3, Sahara upgrade was a lie. Mikey outed as mole, exiled from the board - Burial

I think it’s still that trio with a solid RTTD (not The Killers). Or T,TC and Doja Cat co-headline to make room for a third. Or no Doja Cat and we get TRS.

I think Doja is still on the lineup with her manager following Coachella recently, but think Coachella booked a 4th headliner along with Lana / Tyler / Doja
New HL Doja Cat | Tyler, the Creator Lana Del Rey RTTD: ?

Whew. I finally got caught up on the last 4-5 pages.
I think we still get Doja (though I am not happy about it) with an additional headliner we were not expecting. Might be someone we mentioned, but a curve ball nonetheless.
Okay I'll say it: it's time for a Coachella cum leak, even if its just a dribble. GV can only give us blue balls so many times before someone blows a load so messy that it scrambles the lineup placements.

Maybe I’m a dope, but can’t imagine we just get straight up Tyler / Lana / Doja with a wait this long
On the other hand, they could be elongating the drop because they know this trio isn't as big as others so they hope people will "take what they can get" since this will be the latest lineup drop in 10 years.
I like Tyler and Lana so I'll be happy with them plus the undercard is where it's at for me<3
Attention all my party people. I have officially booked my room for the ACE on the 22nd. Thought I would throw that out there for those who are thinking about doing the same.
Pro Tip- I booked through booking.com and got a nice discount.
