Usher seems like more of a Which Stage late night Bonnaroo booking than a sub at Coachella given his connections in Chattanooga/Atlanta, regardless of how well his Vegas residency is selling.
Zach Bryan Tour has a Coachella sized gap for next year. Busy during Stagecoach
I wouldn’t normally agree with that big of a gap, but it’s definitely interesting that he has dates planned for all of 2024 in every major market in the US except LA!

I was just wondering the other day if we could possible see more country artists on the lineup next year with the way country has been topping the charts lately. Not that I would've expected them to ever book Morgan Wallen or Luke Combs but Zach Bryan or Bailey Zimmerman (who already has a GV LA date) is certainly doable and those Zach tour dates definitely look interesting.
Billing-wise, would he be a sub? That's where I had him in my first 2024 mock. Dude pretty much instantly sells out arenas.
Well he has Kacey Musgraves as a vocalist on a track so maybe she is getting a new album ready. I think he is just mid to end of first line He was added to stagecoach in 2022 and played Palomino stage at 4pm. I get that he blew up but schedule wise he is main at golden hour or outdoor dusk?

Mid to end of first line? Dude is bigger than nearly all the second liners from this year.
It's not completely analogous, but both Chris Stapleton in 2016 and Kacey Musgraves in 2019 got mid third line placement, when they were more popular than a lot of second liners. So, there's a precedent for a big country artist to get a lower booking than someone of comparable popularity in another genre might.

Zach Bryan is still bigger than those two were at the time by quite a bit. Chris and Kacey weren't playing arenas and stadiums back then like Zach Bryan is now.

How did Kacey go from Sub at Stagecoach in 2018, winning album of the year with a sold out tour and only mustered the 2nd line after Paak who oddly enough played right after her on main in 2019. Zach isnt bigger to the Coachella audience which is the whole deal anyway. If he really wanted a top spot he does Lolla cause they got 8 slots to fill. But judging by his tour routing thats not in the cards. I mean its leaning towards him playing Coach since AEG is promoting the tour.

Because Kacey was still only playing theatres at the time and, I'll say it again, Zach is playing arenas and stadiums. A lot of subs at Stagecoach would be on the third line at Coachella so that's not saying much.
And Zach is absolutely bigger than Kacey to the Coachella audience. He'll command higher billing than Kacey at Coachella and pull a bigger crowd too. He's had a much more quick and prominent rise to stardom than Kacey ever did. You're just showing once again that you're way out of the loop on today's music and haven't kept up.
Looks like Zach might also be getting his first #1 album and single soon too (with Kacey ironically) so maybe that'll help put things into perspective.

I would also like to add as the guy with the Kacey avatar that Zach Bryan in 2023 is obviously bigger than Kacey Musgraves in 2018. A big part of her whole story is that country radio did not/does not give a shit about her!
kacey didnt sell out the arenas she played last year with King Princess and MUNA as openers, Zach likely will with random bands reuniting that his fanbase surely doesnt know of

are you kidding, Zach Bryan has a perfect fanbase overlap with a seemingly random Australian indie folk band from the early 2010s

If Zach is on the lineup I would say 2nd or 3rd on his day depending on who the other 2/3 is. I am confident he won't be a 1, but I can't see him lower than 3rd. Only way I can see him getting a 1 is if there are headliner shenanigans the week of the lineup drop.
