This is a lot of stuff I like but it’s hard to justify traveling for it. Nothing here is particularly unique and I going to expect most of this to appear elsewhere.
Upon first glance without any research. Excited for: Arcade Fire, Metric, Yves Tumor, Porn Crumpets, Pond, Pigsx7, Weezer, Queens, SDRE, Chicano Batman, Microwave, Billy Idol, Dino Jr. Men I Trust, Waxahatchee, Kevin Morby, Nova Twins Five or six acts a day ain't bad. I've also only seen 4 of those so that's even better. Gonna have to do a lot of research for Sat though bc I don't really know anyone after Microwave besides Blondshell.
weezer mention
I like weezer and I'm not ashamed. Had a blast when I saw them with Pixies

HOLY SHIT i'm hyped. Friday is going to have so many conflicts for me though, lol.
Friday: Noah Kahan, Arcade Fire, Young The Giant, Interpol, Metric, Pond, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Pigs x7 Saturday: Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age, The Offspring, Sunny Day Real Estate, Microwave, and Dead Poet Society Sunday: Foo Fighters, Billy Idol, Portugal. The Man, Dinosaur Jr., The Struts, Fazedaze
Still going to make my way through listening to all the bands, but I'm pretty happy already. Next year can't come soon enough!
I could almost swear that Shaky has had a top line of Foos - Billy Idol - and Portugal the Man before. I know it's not exact but close enough
Kinda. Billy Idol was on 2022's lineup and Foos subbed in for Stevie Nicks. I don't know if PtM was on it, but PtM was on 2020's lineup (the one that didn't happen).

Well this is a lot better than last year other than the unbelievably peculiar and lame rebooking of doo fighters so soon. Friday is loaded. I was wondering how they would do the co headlining thing and was hoping that they would not stick queens and arcade fire on Piedmont (I hate that stage) and my editor cleverly pointed out that they could be on the new large ponce setup and wouldn't have to worry about bleed. That's my vote though I guess they could be on main before the headliners?

PTM did also play 2021
Actually yeah! That was 2021's lineup for Foos too. Billy Idol cancellation was 2022.

Like Queens of the Stone Age and Weezer back to back? Or with some time in between?
Man I'm hoping for the best with that time. I really wanted 90 minutes of Queens of the Stone Age lol.

they’ll both be main stage
You think so? I'm really curious about this. I hope you're right. They both have main stage production but that would fit on a bigger ponce as well. They have to quit at 11pm on Friday and Saturday I believe but having two headliner sized productions on the main stage with an hour or two changeover is gonna be maniacal.

same as when they had two headliners billed before I assume.

new Ponce isn’t that big, it’s still smaller than Piedmont I think

I'm more referencing the amount of space they have over there. They could drop a bigger stageline over there. DBlood, help me remember when they had dual headliners in the past.

I can't speak for other years but: clashfinder.com/m/shakyknees2019/?user=105jtv.yn 2019 booked both Incubus and Beck. Incubus was before Beck with an hour to spare in-between (where you could go to Tears for Fears or Yellow Days)
*IF* it's like that, here's my guess: Peachtree: Queens of the Stone Age / Criminal Records: Royal Blood Piedmont: The Offspring / Ponce de Leon: Sunny Day Real Estate Peachtree: Weezer
Which man, I'd rather a 90 minute QotSA (one of my favorite bands, haha) set than Weezer. Ah well.
The poster looks a little light when comparing Fri to Sat. Just did a quick year over year compare and Friday is currently at 20 vs 22 on the final poster last year. Sat is at 23 vs 23. Sun is at 19 vs 19.
So I guess we might get a couple of Friday adds. Kind of crazy considering that day already looks pretty good as/is.

Just realizing that both Winona Fighter and Been Stellar are on the lineup...you add a band with a clever take on Ethan Hawke's name and you could have a real Reality Bites situation going on, here.

Fair. I don't think incubus was top line like queens though, right? Arcade fire might be just that but I still wonder about Queens since they're on the top line.
What's funny to me is that this lineup looks better if either queens or arcade fire are the first band on Sunday and foo fighters are gone.
It's a helluva lot cheaper, too. Not sure how many tickets foo are gonna move two and a half years after playing cause I feel like shake has as many repeat attendees as any festival I've been to. Probably a lot, but I still think it lacks the distraction of irritation with queens or Arcade Fire in their place.
