not an Arcade Fire guy?
I used to like them a lot but it's kind of hard to be excited about them and I've seen them in the past. I haven't seen any of these except Microwave and Weezer but I'll be screaming every word for those.

Although it’ll likely change once schedule is out and conflicts become apparent, here’s mine.
1 - Waxahatchee 2 - Miike Snow 3 - Yves Tumor 4 - Metric 5 - Winona Fighter 6 - Queens of the Stone Age 7 - Psychedelic Porn Crumpets 8 - Arcade Fire 9 - Matt and Kim 10 - Royal Blood
Well this is my favorite lineup of the year so far.
LD , would you care to update the original post with the poster?
I looked for it for a while when it dropped and couldn't find it.
Also, you were right on predictions.
Might even still pop down since everything else this year has been a dud. Great undercard as always. Friday is a slam dunk. How much cross over is there usually with JazzF? esteban? Are you going to start that thread.

That thread usually doesn't get all that much play anymore because I think a lot of the old timers hung up on the pro boards. But once the lineup drops and there are night shows added, I'll put in stuff from time to time. I never really ever compared the lineups. Jazz Fest sometimes shared a couple of acts with Memphis in May. If any of these acts were to cross over, Revivalists certainly will and other most likely would be Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Kingfish or Waxahatchee.

Nice, OK. Likely to do one or the other but leaning to Jazz since that'd be a first me and I'm def due back to NOLA.

Just know that Jazz Fest is a day festival that ends at 7pm. Not many night shows have been announced so far, and those will continue to come in well into April. None of them are part of a festival ticket. Expect lots of jam late nights and random other collaborations. I'm assuming the Festival lineup will either drop this week or next week. Last year it was on a Friday (1/13/23) but I can't remember if they always released on a Friday or not. Let me know if you end up coming down. I won't have any idea what days I'm going to the festival until the by-days come out (usually the lineup release is just by weekend at first) nor any night shows or all-night shows (2am til stuff). But that will all come clear later, and I'll certainly be around town. I live a hair over a mile away from the Fair Grounds where it's held, so at least close by for anything you might need except a driver.
Seems like we're around the usual time for adds. Friday looks to be 2 short vs. 2023, which is really kind of nuts considering how strong the undercard already looks, and Sunday looks to be 1 short. Any thoughts on who we might get or who you hope we get? Or is this maybe the final lineup already?
2022: Band of Horses, Lennon Stella, Grandson, Dehd, Lanie Gardner (Jan 18) 2023: 311, Snail Mail, Cautious Clay, Anna Kramer (Jan 28)
Comparison of band counts in 2023 vs. 2024 by day: Fri: 22 vs. 20 -2 Sat: 23 vs. 23 0 Sun: 20 vs. 19 -1
Just scanning yoy lineup vs 2023 it feels like Sunday might get the bigger act and Friday would get a couple of smaller adds.
I would think a band like Bleachers could slide into the 2nd line on Sunday. Then again maybe I’m underestimating the draw/cost of PtM.
Pretty much how I feel. I'm not expecting it to happen, but hey, last year we did get 311 added on Saturday.
Blanking to think of who else could get added to the lineup.
Yard Act, Sleater-Kinney both have new albums And both could do fear based on tour dates. YA just sold out a show at the Earl last November, I know SK are playing Atlanta on this tour but still would like to see them at Shaky

Yard act would be an absolute dream and they have about a month off between Belgium and Belly Up.
