This was my big hopeful, too but then I remembered she was opening those Beck & Phoenix shows and in NY around the Hopscotch dates.
I'd be cool with Pavement but I have doubts with it. Thinking they're too big for City Plaza or Moore Square. If it was Red Hat, I could see it.
Would also take The Walkmen, Arooj, Bartees, Snail Mail and/or Julia Jacklin.
Although unlikely, I'm still holding out hope for Red Hat and the other larger venues. They currently don't have anything scheduled that weekend.
Plus, imo, Red Hat is a better venue than City Plaza, which I have never been a fan of (esp. with the sound there being hit or miss because of all of the buildings)
I haven't given up hope but the past few years have been scaled down.
Charging $129 for a GA ticket isn't going to have a huge budget to work with.
That said, how TF is VIP $375?!?
Whole lot of new money in Raleigh, especially downtown. People that will buy a ticket just for something to do, not necessarily because they dig the lineup. The city has changed a lot since 2010.

Totally fair. I'm usually only down there a few days a year now but I can feel the change.
It's just odd to me that VIP is basically triple of what GA is with very little perks. That said, when getting into those late night shows, I can see where it's useful. Past that .. I dunno.
