With the schedule but they've been changing stuff up so much, idk when that is. Was mid-July then became August. Dunno if they're keeping that schedule.
I noticed on the poster they said "more acts to come" and I can't think of a poster that ever had that on there.

Really trying to make it this year. Wasn't big on the lineup the past couple of years (just not enough I liked/had not seen for me to justify the ticket price), but I really dig this one.
I realized how out-of-touch I was re: NC music by how few names I recognized in that lower part on the poster.
Time to explore, I reckon.
In no real order, really looking forward to: Pavement That TiaCorine > Digable Plabets > Denzel Curry run on Saturday (see you in the pit @ Denzel) Dinosaur Jr. Jeff Parker Prince Paul Irreversible Entanglements Kool Keith Rosali Suzi Analogue
And is it just me, or are GA tickets cheaper this year?
PSA, price increase starts on Wednesday. Of course it doesn’t say by how much lmao (Tony just a heads up since I know you’re thinking about getting one)

not surprised at all! this lineup is a steal at this price.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

If we're playing this game...
Roughly/subject to change: 1.) Pavement 2.) TiaCorine 3.) Denzel Curry 4.) Digable Planets (wish we could get a Shabazz Palaces set, as well) 5.) Dinosaur Jr. 6.) Suzi Analogue 7.) Jeff Parker 8.) Quasi 9.) Irreversible Entanglements 10.) Rose City Band
IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER, pre research (i'll update with projected order after doing more research haha):
Denzel Alvvays JapBrekky Rosali Soccer Mommy American Football Skylar Gudasz Model/actriz Dinosaur Jr. Pavement - honestly haven't listened to them a whole lot but will make time to check them out more intentionally between now & September!

Honestly, my top 10 would just be Model/Actriz + the bands playing the Pavement, Denzel, & Dino Jr shows. Got a lot of research to do with the undercard (if anyone has a playlist, post that shit). I know of Dazy (RVA represent!), Horse Jumper of Love, Cro Mags, & Tonstartssbandht, but none of them super well.

Tonstartssbandht is great live. They're on my short list unless it conflicts. Cro-Mags are hit or miss these days but to be expected. If you're looking for a starting point, look no further than Age of Quarrel. It's the best and he/they play most of this live.
I usually don't count Comedy but jfc there's no way I can miss her.
Have a feeling that's going to be one of the toughest shows to get into, unless you arrive early.
Learned a hard lesson trying to get into Mdou Moctar at Kings 2019. My dumbass waited in line for an hour, in a line that was not moving, save for the VIP's/artists getting in. Never got in. Wound up at Coconut Cake, who were great, but I should have gone to Cate Le Bon. Heard that crowd was a riot.

Agreed. That said, I got shut out for Zola Jesus the first year I went and never ever again. Where there's a will, there's a way.

My absolute worst night was my sister, who I had bought a ticket for, abandoning me during Anderson Paak to meet up with a friend. Headed over to Erykah Badu, who was late because of a missed flight. Bailed before she came on. Caught the tail end of Boulevards, then waited an hour for Thugger before bailing again. Went over to DJ Spinn, but I was in a horrible mood by that point, having wasted 2.5 hours.

Those of you just getting into Pavement, please do not miss. Saw them thrice this tour, and it’s likely their last, possibly the most fun i’ve had at a show ever.
