I like cell phone videos. Sure the sound quality is ass but I like getting the POV of being in the audience. Feel the energy a lot more. The Hampton 09 Fluffhead videos being a good example.

my take is that complaining about cell phone video takers is more annoying than the cell phone video takers
i took some videos at Coachella this year and sometimes i rewatch them when im bored at work or whatever and get a quick dopamine rush remembering how fun it was, let people enjoy shit, who cares

i took some videos at Coachella this year and sometimes i rewatch them when im bored at work or whatever and get a quick dopamine rush remembering how fun it was, let people enjoy shit, who cares

Cell phone videos don't bother me too badly, I do rewatch my own and others' on YouTube occasionally. My only gripe is when EVERYONE is recording through a phone in front of me, so I can't see the band unless I also grab my phone and watch through a screen - which in turns makes it tougher for the people behind me and the chain reaction continues.

Saw a whole iPad go up at a show awhile back, and I really thought that was going to become a trend. Thankfully it did not, but can you imagine that chain reaction with people taping the entire show through giant fucking TABLETS?!!! I ain't here for that. Call me an old person yelling at a cloud, but I like to enjoy the show with my senses. Never take any videos or anything. I like to be present. My partner takes a pic or two at the beginning of a favorite song or a special moment. That's enough for me. Also I'm trying to dance my ass off at most of these shows. I'd much rather dance than record.
