So with everything announced and just three weeks out, should we be discussing Brunch or where to meet up on Friday night? Angry Black Men are playing at Cobra Lounge for like $15. I’d happily see them again and drink with friends, just saying.
I was thinking about this today - I know it’s mostly GL and I in this thread talking (and then texting each other lol) but if anyone else wants to play hooky on BPs and go to a bar afterwards, would you prefer somewhere divey or classy? If the latter I was thinking about how most loop based rooftop bars are open late at night, if the former I’ll think of something lol.
So as far as this goes, maybe Streeter’s in River North, a place I’ve been to a lot and always liked. As for rooftops I am now struggling with this a bit more because my first thought was Cerise but I’m realizing now their door might not be so kind to the freshly dusty after a festival. Maybe LH? I’ve never been there before though.
(I feel like I’m gently suggesting Streeter’s since it has an extensive beer menu and is pretty cheap.)
lol streeters is actually the last bar i went to before flying home last year, it was pretty fun but the one way windows in the bathroom kinda freaked me out

I’m still thinking about bars but as much as I love SV I don’t think it’s a great call since it’ll be pretty far away for our visitors. Yelping “bars with patio” on my phone does not yield much near the loop lol. I did go to Streeter’s on Friday. They charged a $10 cover but it was also 3 AM so idk.
