Jokes aside there's zero chance they book Ryan Adams. Honestly think they'd get a pretty severe backlash from the majority of attendees. Not to mention, there are quite a few "folk family" who I'm sure wouldn't be very happy with that, so I can't imagine them burning bridges with people like Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, Julien Baket, Mandy Moore, Dawes, etc.

Maybe that’d help with them from inviting the same artists every year, no…?

Flaming Lips would be a way cool left of field booking but I have no idea how they'd accommodate the Yoshimi show on those stages.
Way back in 2009 the Decemberists played while touring the Hazards of Love full album and they just played a normal set right? I’d imagine if they got the flaming lips they’d just leave all the extra stuff on the tour bus. I’d love it if this happened.
(As an aside, this is one of the reasons they’re always talking about people taking pay cuts to play the fest right? Like an act with extra stage stuff is still paying drivers and roadies to haul that stuff around and not set it up for a date?)

eh, the Flaming Lips playing a "normal" set still involves massive stage productions and props and stuff, I just don't know how they'd work that in on the stages. I also don't know how it would work in the daylight.
Upcoming Shows: August 7: Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins/Rancid/The Linda Lindas August 30: Waxahatchee/Snail Mail/Tim Heidecker September 17: Pearl Jam/Glen Hansard September 24: Idles/English Teacher
Saw him recently. He is backed by gospel singers. Honesty it’s not far off from when we were thinking Chance the Rapper or Anderson Paak could be a possibility.

Killer Mike is a lot different than Chance the Rapper in that he doesn't suck.

Of course. But from a tying in musically perspective.

He's also very different from both of them in that acts like Chance and Anderson Paak aren't nearly as aggressive. Like, NFF booking "backpack" type hip hop artists isn't really that surprising, but this is something else.
I don’t think the seating is going to be under the tent like years past. Looks like they have a sign up list for ADA. I’m guessing that’s so they will only have seats for ADA.
