Kid Rock is a garbage person and everything, but ignoring the context of him as a person he’s got 2-3 songs I’d listen to over a G Eazy or Iggy Azalea track.

i know kid rock is the natural choice for round 1 sacrifice, but i give him credit for giving Eminem a feature on 1998's "Devil Without A Cause". "Fuck Off" is a terrible song but Eminem's verse was a pop music revelation to me. first time i'd ever heard him and it was definitely a "who the fuck is this guy" moment.

i mean obviously the bombast is there, but it was the flow and almost meta self-awareness of the lyrics that stopped me in my tracks. slim shady LP came out the next year and took over the world.

I think Mac Miller is in the conversation and Paul Wall is top few but doesn't have all that much material. He does have badass grills though.

The only one I actually like is the collaboration with YG for FDT Part 2. Otherwise, I'm not a fan. I've seen him a couple times, and it was mostly eh.

Nah. I’d be really happy with El P winning because he’s definitely my favorite. It should definitely be Eminem though.
Trying to recall who I have seen live on this - Mac Miller, El-P, Action Bronson, Paul Wall and Lil Dickie who I like and then Yelawolf, G-Eazy, Jack Harlow and Macklemore who I mostly don't. And Russ who had a big crowd at ACL (was it 2017?) and was alright I guess.
Fast X was generic and bad but it had one good character joke in it which was the John Cena character listening to Atmosphere.

On the flip, Lil Xan, Everlast (though some of House of Pain is funny), K-Fed and Machine Gun Kelly were thankfully forgotten. Logic is kind of boring but is an okay rapper. Lil Wyte missing though.
