I was sitting here thinking of all of my favorite rappers that have come out in the last 10 years. Even the ones that are relatively new to most are older guys. Armand Hammer, Open Mike Eagle,Griselda, Freddie Gibbs,,Earl isn’t even young anymore. I just like more mature rappers I guess.

Me and Earl are the same age how dare you not call me young

I'm pretty sure his first song ever was Runaway with Kanye
just listened to this "runaway" song for the first time, pretty cool! crazy what the young people are into today but i like it. is this "soundcloud rap"?
I don't think the purpose of this Survivor is to actually determine the best white rapper.
Sure, not trying to be pedantic about a game. But there are people that would argue Mista Thug Isolation is better than the Marshall Mathers LP for example, and I would like to read that.

Back in March, I saw Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew doing the Remain In Light show. Across the street was some young rapper called Yeat.
After the show some teenagers on the train were asking me about Yeat. I had to look it up. He's from Portland, Oregon and makes up words. I'm guessing Tristan thinks he's awesome.
We haven't had a good white rapper in a while. Jack Harlow is probably the best, and that's meh.

I don't like Yeat but he makes more sense than like Asher Roth. He has actual fans at least.

Lotta good points being made in here about the music being made today not being as good as the music that was made when I was younger. This is a new and novel problem that previous generations have never experienced. If anyone wants to learn more about this problem, here’s an interesting long read about it from a recent issue of The Atlantic.

There’s lots of great music being made. The thing is I’m not developing a lot of new favorites at this time.

sort of related but Tom Breihan had a really good piece on the 20th anniversary of Bubba Sparxxx's Deliverance.
