Biden has been a better President than Obama imo and both were better than Cllinton. Based on his posts in the politics thread I'm going to assume Jakicker's issues with Biden are more about his age than policy differences between Biden and the other recent presidents.

Biden and Obama are probably about on-par as presidents. Biden did way more damage before he was president, and that's a bit hard for me to extricate from my overall evaluation of him as a politician.

Seems like Biden has already done more good shit in 3 years than Obama did in 8. I'm actually not a policy only kinda guy though. I like some of the soft things like being able to speak, being proud of my president, having some sort of confidence in him when its time to make an important decision etc. But the argument for Biden is pretty easy and it's not an outlandish claim from GoCats at all.

It’s a disgusting joke of a place. The vast majority of our representatives backing an aimless massacre that anyone with a brain knows can’t accomplish what it claims. And if you speak out against it you can lose your job or at the very least get labeled as an antisemite.
Fucking brainless, racist idiots that believe it’s right and advantageous to kill thousands of children and make over a million people homeless. Accepting that destabilizing a region and losing diplomatic standing in the world is somehow the right path.
Obama the man was the epitome of what you want in your leader - charismatic, pragmatic, intelligent, poetic, inspirational, funny, willing to change/evolve over time, unifying.
Ignoring personalities and strictly focusing on policies and achievements, Obama blows Biden out of the water, too. Health care reform, rescuing the economy from the biggest recession since the Great Depression, Paris agreement, repealed don't ask don't tell, federal same-sex marriages, protected Dreamers, normalized relations with Cuba, the Iran nuclear deal, established net neutrality, improved our image abroad, brought back federal civil rights enforcement, passed Wall St reform, and not to mention showed the country and the world that a person of color could be tremendous at being the president. He wasn't perfect, obviously, but if we are comparing presidents this guy has to be the winner.

Obama was the first candidate I ever campaigned for -- at age 14/15, I was making calls out of the chapel hill campaign office for that dude.
I was never able to muster even close to the amount of enthusiasm necessary to campaign actively for Biden. part of that was certainly related to how much time & energy I'd given to the Bernie campaign, only to be fucking burned againnnnnn, but it wasn't only that.
Obama was FAR from perfect, but in terms of a Obama v Biden comparison, it seems an easy answer to me -- for the reasons you've listed above.

not going to bat for the US's role in this ethnic cleansing but we're far from the only country showing support and even outside of this instance, far from the only country to profit and support suffering of people we'll never have to face.
and foreign policy is only one part of what makes up a government, let alone an entire country.

since u seem to be more moderate/right wing, I will focus on that as my counter - I dont think there is a single thing that Barack Obama did with the economy that is anywhere close to as impressive as running an annualized GDP growth of 5% in the 3rd quarter with a federal funds interest rate of 5.3%. economists thought this was impossible
