Hey Pale Hose approximately how many thousands of innocent Palestinians — including so many kids and elderly and sick, like those dying in the hospitals right now because Israel cut off their electricity— have to die before we are allowed to condemn Israel without being called an anti-Semite? Just a rough estimate would be helpful, thx
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I have denounced the deaths of innocent Palestinians on this message board multiple times. I take no issue with the condemnation of the Israeli government, I am no supporter of Bibi and the right wing coalition he formed to regain power. I do take issue however, with the number of folks here who only seem to want to call attention to or denounce the deaths of innocents on one side of this conflict. Last Saturday hundreds of innocent Israelis were slaughtered, and I didn't see you, or a number of other folks who have gotten very vocal in in the few days have anything to say about the atrocities that took place.
I haven't called you or anyone else posting on this subject an antisemite, that is a complete fabrication. Let me know if you have any additional questions, thx.
Pretty fair points Pale. People fear what’s going to happen which is also an appropriate point of view in my opinion. I’ve never liked Likud or the even farther right parties in the Knesset nor would I support terrorist organizations who go after civilians. Yesterday NBC obtained copies of top secret Hamas plans to deliberately target schools killing as many innocent people (aka children) as possible.
I support the right for a free and independent Palestine. Most people probably do here. People can decide for themselves if they believe indiscriminate bombing is the same level as targeting schools and music festivals, but Hamas 2023 seems to be on the far side of being particularly evil. Hopefully the Israeli Defense Forces show some compassion where they can. It’s going to be ugly.

if your country is constantly being taken over and surrounded over the course of decades and the international community co-signs that, what other options do you have but to start a terrorist organization?
I’m not coming at this from the “Hamas is justified” angle but what do you honestly expect them to do?

A fun third horror of this whole thing is watching Americans with exactly 0 stake playing moral olympics. Hope everyone is enjoying the adrenaline rush after you get an ideological smackdown on some other terminally online person.

I don’t think all that many people support the killing of civilians, they’re justifiably upset at the double standard of there being massive global outrage over the killing of a relatively small number of Israeli civilians compared to apathy towards the killing of a much larger number of Palestinian civilians for decades.

I don't claim to have the answer but what we've seen unfold over the last week ain't it.

Yeah. I generally trust NBC but if they have to walk it back, they should do so quickly. Seemed a little suspect but it’s not like it was Fox or The Sun so I’m a little more disposed to believing the reporting.

They all have a bias. The liberal leaning media is just a little better at hiding it. Mostly.
It doesn't change the brutality of what happened. But as a propaganda tool it is helpful and getting people to go along with the ongoing atrocities. Whataboutism and all that. Same as the cutting heads off babies claims that have been walked back.
But who knows. Maybe Hamas took the time to watermark "top secret" on their crime handouts.

I can only speak for myself but I literally just hadn’t been active on Inforoo , period, for days before I came into the politics thread less than 48 hours ago & at that point, yeah my attention was/is on the active slaughter of innocent Palestinians. I have had plenty of irl convos in the past week+ with friends and family about how horrific the crimes committed AGAINST Israeli citizens were last week. It seems very short sighted of you to assume that if someone posts a few times in the span of a day or so on the most currently pertinent topic of these ongoing horrors, then it means they’ve turned a blind eye to the other elements and crimes (e.g. from last weekend).
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I can only comment on what I can see. If you thought that it wasn't worth acknowledging the slaughter of 1300 Israelis by the time you entered the conversation, just a few days after it had taken place, then yeah, it sure seems like you've turned a blind eye.

Don’t have an opinion: apathetic typical uninformed American

I wouldn't call what happened on Saturday "a relatively small number of Israeli civilians." Relative to the population of Isreal It would be like 30,000 Americans being killed.

I was speaking in terms of relative to the number of Palestinian civilians killed by Israel.

this is so disingenuous, and I don’t really think you care to engage in thoughtful discourse on this soooo…
But you’re essentially acting like I was posting every day multiple times this past week and ignoring the crimes against Israelis that occurred last weekend while that was in active discussion. Inforoo dot com isn’t where I hold most of my in depth deep dive discussions of things like this, believe it or not, and for me to jump in once I was online/reading the thread with the topics AT hand doesn’t equate to “I don’t care about the pain and deaths accrued on the Israeli side at all.”

How is my response disingenuous? Am I supposed to assume that you had expressed as much concern for the loss of Israeli lives privately as you did for the loss of Palestinian lives publicly?

16.1M Jews 14.3M Palestinians
Which group has had a larger percentage killed by the other?
The fact this isn’t the first time you’ve tried to compare Hamas’ terrorist attacks to 9/11 and how many Americans would have died is so ridiculous. Maybe you don’t remember 9/11, but I sure do.
Terrorists killed about 2900 people, and in retaliation, we sent 7000 soldiers and 8000 contractors to their death. And we killed over 400,000 civilians with a total of over 900,000 dead worldwide because of the war on terror.

Quit justifying more violence.
Pretty sure that was the first post I've made about this but go off

No one is saying this except you, George Costanza. The only people that aren’t denouncing ALL violence in here are Pro-Israel.
The only people advocating FOR war crimes in the Middle East are Pro-Israel.

When someone said “a relatively small number of Israelis killed vs. Palestinians” you immediately ignored the fact that they were comparing Palestinian deaths vs Israeli deaths and immediately compared the percentage of Israeli deaths in comparison to 9/11 US Deaths.
YOU were using a percentage of population. But by your own STATISTICS, Palestinians have been killed by Israel by several times more in absolute numbers as well as by percentage of population.
