The amount of mental gymnastics it takes to go from the conclusion “this guy dislikes me, so he must dislike all people in the same religion as me” is insane. Hate to break it to you, but you are not a representative sample of all Jewish people. People can dislike you without being antisemites.

there’s nothing remotely antisemitic about criticizing Jewish people gathering to support genocide. People of the Jewish faith don’t get a blind pass to just not get criticized for bad actions because they do them with a group of other Jewish people. It’s not some sort of blanket immunity.
Jews have a right to gather in solidarity. Of course this antisemite is trying to defend his blatantly anti-semetic comment, because that's what bigots and racists do.
where did I say they couldn’t gather? Freedom of assembly is something I value. I just going to make fun of them for it.

Right, because you are antisemitic. I think we are on the same page now.

no, because they are doing something that’s evil imo. There are Christian’s, Muslims, atheists, Buddhists, etc who do evil things and I’ll criticize them too.
You are trying to argue that the right to slaughter Arab babies is something that is fundamental to the Jewish identity, and it’s not. Most Jewish people are decent people who don’t support this shit. The ones who aren’t don’t get immunity from criticism due to their religion. And it’s also not just Jewish people supporting this. In fact, I’ve seen mostly protests against this from Jewish people, at least where I live. Jewish solidarity events against the genocide. Most of the people in America I’ve seen supporting this are far rigjt Christians who hate “a-rabs”more than the “deep state Jews.”
Yes that's why I said people like you. People that cherry pick the trolliest of troll comments and use them to dismiss all people with a different view that aren't trolling.
I don't support that type of behavior from either side.
Your comments over the last few months prove otherwise

I am certainly not trying to make this argument. I mourn the loss of every single innocent person on both sides of this war. The fact that you are making such an accusation against me even though I have explicitly stated otherwise multiple times within this thread is yet another example of your antisemitism. You know nothing of my Jewish identity, or anyone's Jewish identity for that matter. If you feel the need to make fun of Jewish people who gather in solidarity during a time of crisis, and then feel the need to justify that position, you are an antisemite. Full stop.

If you’re so confident that my statements are antisemetic, let’s make a wager. You make a poll asking the whole forum if they think they’re antisemetic. If the poll comes back as yes, then the mods can ban me for 3 months. If it comes back as a no, then you get banned 3 months. Deal?

I don't need Inforoo to validate my feelings. I am a Jew, and I am sure you are not. You have made comments that I feel are antisemitic, it's as simple as that bud.

Well it’s either my comments were antisemetic or you are out of line in calling me that. Mods, pick which one it was, and hit the other with a short-term ban (even if that’s me).
Did you ever consider for a moment that the sniper referenced in the Doctors Without Borders tweet might be Hamas militant? Do you think that the IDF are the only ones putting civilians in Gaza in harms way?
Did you ever consider you made all of this up? Because after 6 months, that’s sure what it looks like…
And the IDF are the only ones putting 40k civilians into the ground.
I'm always loathe to enter this string, but proposing an Inforoo "am I an anti-semite" survivor thread feels like a new low.
there needs to be consequences for calling someone that without cause. It’s not an insult that should just get thrown around.
Sure if without cause.
I must admit that I didn't follow the whole string, but if you replace the "Jewish people" in your example with transgender people or black lives matter activists, is it still benign? Genuine question.

to clarify my intent, if any transgender people or BLM activists were to gather as a group to support genocide, I’d make fun of them too. Hope that clears things up!
It's also well documented that civilians in Gaza are afraid to openly speak out against Hamas. They are essentially holding the entire territory hostage, so no, I don't think we can take everything you hear from civilians there at face value
Every Palestinian is a liar or a crisis actor, right…
And the mental gymnastics to believe Hamas is the one holding Palestinians hostage when the IDF has destroyed a majority of the Gaza Strip and displaced hundreds of thousands of people…

What was the gathering in question? Was this a recent post? I must admit that I honestly don't follow this thread very thoroughly but the idea of people voting on this type of thing seems very off.
Because Israel has never lied before and would have no motivation to lie in this case. I really believe 7 teachers (and two other school workers) and a social worker would be helping kill and kidnap people.
No one here has seen the report that was submitted, but apparently it includes photographic evidence of UNRWA members participating in 10/7. Whatever is in the report, was enough for UNRWA to terminate the employment of those implicated right away, and to launch their own internal investigation. It was also enough for 9 countries to suspend funding to the organization.
Israel has still yet to provide any report or proof about these allegations, but maybe that’s not Cherry-picking…

It sucks that some shitty people on the internet feel the need to defend the genocidal creeps raping people to death with a cattle prod for the crime of being Palestinian. I'm glad that the conditions of her captivity were not as bad as those of thousands of kidnapped Palestinians.
Mr. al-Hamlawi, the senior nurse, said a female officer had ordered two soldiers to lift him up and press his rectum against a metal stick that was fixed to the ground. Mr. al-Hamlawi said the stick penetrated his rectum for roughly five seconds, causing it to bleed and leaving him with “unbearable pain.”
A leaked draft of the UNRWA report detailed an interview that gave a similar account. It cited a 41-year-old detainee who said that interrogators “made me sit on something like a hot metal stick and it felt like fire,” and also said that another detainee “died after they put the electric stick up” his anus.
Eight former detainees, all of whom the military has confirmed were held at the site and who spoke on the record, variously said they had been punched, kicked and beaten with batons, rifle butts and a hand-held metal detector while in custody. One said his ribs were broken after he was kneed in the chest and a second detainee said his ribs broke after he was kicked and beaten with a rifle, an assault that a third detainee said he had witnessed. Seven said they had been forced to wear only a diaper while being interrogated. Three said they had received electric shocks during their interrogations.
Yo so maybe this has already been stated somewhere in this thread, so forgive me if so, but I've been curious if anyone has any knowledge ov any artists performing this year that have ties to Israel. Is there a list anywhere? I feel like Israel is pretty entrenched in electronic music culture which is admittedly not a genre im familiar with in any real way so I just figured this would be a good place to ask.
very late on this as I just saw, not necessarily touring right now but a general list:
Brandi Carlile
Chaka Khan
Madonna
Noah Kahan
Radiohead and adjacent projects like The Smile etc
Regina Spektor
Jessie Ware
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Moscoman
Matisyahu
Ziggy Marley
Elton John
Justin Bieber
Pharrell Williams
Lady Gaga
LIZ
Samantha Ronson
Why Don't We
Disturbed (lol)
Big Time Rush (bigger lol)
Bon Jovi
Vanessa Carlton
Slash
Lil Dicky
will.i.am
I gathered this from a lot of pro-Israel accounts btw. biggest shock and disappointment is definitely Jessie Ware. didn't really listen to the rest of these but it sucks
Your comments over the last few months prove otherwise
What comments are you referring to? Show me where I've posted "cherry picked" information from the few that isn't representative of the whole.
I've read your posts in real time. Your alienation of other inforoo members (and not just the alleged "anti-semites), is very telling. Much like Netanyahu's alienation of the geopolitical community.
I do try and empathize with you. It must be very difficult to watch the leaders of your religion do such horrible things day in day out. That's why I left the Catholic church after the age of 15, but I don't try and defend the Vatican when someone starts slandering Catholics. I also DGAF if someone slanders any of the countries in my 23 and me. Or America. Or Kansas. Or white cis males.
Remember it's not just Gaza/Palestinians/Muslims that are being attacked by Israel. They are also attacking Christians in Lebanon because some Hezbolah members fired rockets near a Christian village. www.bbc.com/news/articles/c999v52z9leo
The only Christian village in the largely Shia-Muslim south, Alma al-Shaab's position on a hill offers majestic views of the surrounding countryside, all the way to the sea in the distance. It is also clearly visible from northern Israel. This closeness to the border has seen it heavily targeted by Israeli forces over the past nine months.

If you've read my posts in real time you would know that I am no fan of Bibi and the far right coalition he formed to regain power. It's also worth adding that he not the leader of Judaism, he is the PM of Israel. There is no supreme leader of Judaism like there is in Catholicism.
I have never defended Bibi in this thread, or anywhere else. I am pro ceasefire and pro two state solution, as I have previously mentioned within this thread. I resent your comparison and also the suggestion that I might value Christian lives in Lebanon over those of any other people there. I would encourage you to go back and reread my posts.

Can you do one of Artists who are pro-American or have ties to the United States? That country has committed a hell of a lot of war crimes and atrocities
