yes, Hamas is terrible, terrorism is terrible. And while what Israel is doing in Gaza might stop specifically Hamas, in all likelihood in the long run it’s just going to exacerbate the terrorism issue. Terrorists don’t just spawn out of thin air, they are radicalized through life events. All those kids who are watching their civilian family members and a bunch of little kids get decapitated left and right are going to be prime targets for radicalization, and it’s just going to make the problem 10 times worse for Israel. If you want to be able to coexist in a land of people with opposing views that you kicked out from there home, there needs to be massive amount of olive branches offered. If they want to stop terrorism, they should be building Gaza and the Middle East up, not trying to tear it down.
any civilian death is horrible. but may i remind you, israel has killed over 35,000 palestinians, with the vast majority being civilians, and particularly children. I’m not at all justifying civilians being killed on the israeli side as well, but to simply say everything is horrible and to equate israel to hamas is just bad faith and ignores the context of the long term brutalization of palestinians and israeli apartheid.

Given their respective resources, everything is horrible. If Hamas had the resources and backing of the United States, they’d be murdering just as many Israeli citizens as Israel is murdering Palestinians. Both governments and both militaries are completely fucked up
Appears that 10/7 was actually more beneficial to Netanyahu than any of the reforms would have been (and they would have been very beneficial to him too!). I'm sure the "reforms" will be back with more support than ever very soon.
Obviously it's the Taliban's fault we have the Patriot Act
Propaganda, trolls, "on the ground".. what are words?
Did you actually listen to or read the interview with her? You seem to only be capable of sharing information taken out of context to fit whatever narrative you are trying to push. It sucks that some shitty people on the internet feel the need to take shots at a teenager who lost part of her family and was held hostage for almost two months, for the crime of being an Israeli. I'm glad that the conditions of her captivity were not as bad as some of the other released hostages have described, or as bad as the conditions that Agam described for other hostages she met.
Nah, I'm not subscribed to Haaretz, sorry.
All you do is obfuscate the issue by saying things like "out of context" to run coverage for an ongoing genocide. So what you think of me or anyone else is immaterial. It's the Internet. Context is one click away.
I've made detailed responses to your posts, mostly early in the thread, and I hope someone reading got something out of them because actually responding to you is a waste of time and energy. So yes, I share things for the people who care and move on, for the most part.

Very normal profile sig, btw.
I don't subscribe to Haaretz either, but I know how to circumvent a paywall. It's the internet, after all.
I also don't post information without knowing the context, but I guess that's why we're different. You'll continue to cherry pick information and post out of context bits and pieces that fit your narrative, even though it's dishonest. That's par for the course for you though, you're an Astros fan right?
The quote in my profile is a Lou Reed lyric. You would think someone posting on a message board about a music festival would know that. Unless maybe, you don't like Jews?

Which is worse: being an Astros fan or hating Jews?
You're a fucking joke.
The context is there's a genocide. And this is a thread about that. Everyone knows about that and everyone knows where I stand, as well as where you stand. You talk about "context" and accuse people of racism because you have no other argument. You're capitulating.
"You reap what you sow" isn't a Lou Reed lyric lmfao like he came up with it.
Why don't you just wait for UNRWA to publish the results of their internal investigation instead of sharing tweets that make declarations with absolutely no supporting evidence? This is Al-Ahli hospital all over again.
US funding of UNRWA (which was most of it) was suspended over a month prior to this post being made, until at least March of next year. Pale Hose also has suggested that UNRWA should be defunded for supporting terrorism. (For context)
Just delay, delay, delay while Israel kills as many brown babies as they can.
~200 people were killed at Al-Ahli, according to every reporting agency aside from the IDF, so I don't have any clue what that sentence is supposed to mean, tbh.

If you need to ask this question then yes, it seems pretty obvious where you stand.
I have only accused one poster in this thread of racism. I accused you of sharing information out of context to support your point of view. You didn't even read or watch the interview that the tweet you posted was quoting. If you had you never would have shared that tweet, because Agam's interview doesn't support the argument that you are trying to make. When I shared the interview you pretended like you're not capable of reading it, even though it can be found on several different sites for free with a simple Google search.
You're a classic, "read the headline, but not the article" person. Pathetic.
"You're going to reap just what you sow" is absolutely a Lou Reed lyric, even if he wasn't the first to say it. Look when my account was created, in case you need some context.

No one here has seen the report that was submitted, but apparently it includes photographic evidence of UNRWA members participating in 10/7. Whatever is in the report, was enough for UNRWA to terminate the employment of those implicated right away, and to launch their own internal investigation. It was also enough for 9 countries to suspend funding to the organization.

Insane article. Probably shouldn’t have read it
We started seeing a series of children, preteens mostly, who’d been shot in the head. They’d go on to slowly die, only to be replaced by new victims who’d also been shot in the head, and who would also go on to slowly die. Their families told us one of two stories: the children were playing inside when they were shot by Israeli forces, or they were playing in the street when they were shot by Israeli forces..
