1st album Mista thug isolation is revamped Memphis horrorcore type stuff, 2nd album Oblivion Access is more industrial/noise (that metal/hip hop fest chock full of goodies is named after it), 3rd Volcanic Bird Enemy is a lot cleaner production and some of the songs border on indie rock
Have Bladee and Aesop Rock been on here the whole time? I just now noticed them. I have a couple follow-up questions:
1. Are they rappers? 2. Are they white?
aesop rock is a white rapper. he came out of the whole backpack/def jux thing in the early 00s. very technically talented rapper, crams a lot of words in and his flow veers all over the place but always reconnects with the beat.
you'll have to ask tЯist♡n about bladee. the extent of my research is googling a picture of him to make sure he looked white.
I don't really care for atmosphere at all, but sparxxx and semetary feel like the move.
I do feel like something going for and against peep is starting the whole 'pink and black emo-scene' in hip hop. pretty massive influence which is good, but it also gave us machine gun Kelly's current aesthetic, which is bad. sort of a clash is responsible for ska, and bob Marley is responsible for reggae situation.
Slug. Ugh. One of my least favorite and most annoying Bonnaroo shows ever.
I care more about the amount of good songs / albums an artist has than their live show to be fair. I thought they were a perfectly normal bad rap show at Roo 15.
I'm actually a little surprised that there seems to be so much distance between Jack Harlow and Post Malone.
post malone has hits and seems like a swell guy. easy to root for.
i'm not a harlow hater, and i don't consider myself on the cutting edge of popular music, but the only track he's on i consistently remember is Industry Baby, and he's not the main attraction in that song.
