He also stated that he has been trying to figure out when the time would be right to pull the trigger on their first country headliner. Given the weird slate of acts available, this might be the year -- just not sure who they would feel comfortable enough to go with. He was really down on how rap is drawing these days as well.
I know he's got those UC dates in March, but Zach Bryan returning to the fest as the 1st country headliner in Lolla history seems like a pretty good fit.

Zach is a very easy crossover act for fests wanting to book a country artist considering he gets played on alt stations and he's huge with Gen Z but I do have a hard time believing they book someone with three arena dates in the city within a few months of the fest, even if they are sold out. Not out of the question but feels like a stretch. I think there's a solid chance C3 books him for both Lolla and ACL next year
That got me thinking of a couple country names that I could see. Childers feels like he could be a North Stage headliner but he's at the UC in July. I think Stapleton could be a good crossover guy but he's doing Wrigley. Luke Combs could actually do it, he's got some stadium shows in Cincinnati on August 2nd and 3rd, very open to headline on the 5th or 6th. He's had some pop crossover lately. But that'd be a very expensive booking considering he's doing double stadium nights in every market and he's in Milwaukee in April so I wouldn't count on it
I saw a Cody Jinks rumor and his tour dates lineup very well but he's probably a top sub, no way they bump him to headliner for this. But that'd also play in even more to having a country headliner if he's subbing.
Kacey Musgraves is due to make a comeback sometime in the near future and would absolutely fit the vibe and be a good crossover act. Already played in 2019 too.

This is a good rundown. I'll also note that Eric Church played the festival back in 2013 and has some pretty suspicious tour routing around Lolla.

Cody Jinks into Eric Church on the North Stage one night could make a lot of sense
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
Where do we think she lands on the lineup? She sold out the Vic so fast last year they had to upgrade the show to the Riviera which then sold out instantly. I think she could be in the Carly or Maggie spot from last year.

Think more in the Maisie Peters, Peach Pit, NIKI area.
Seems unlikely. If anything they'll play a couple dates in other parts of the country around the Coachella dates, but I've given up all hope for a Chicago show.
Edit: Lol someone deleting their post asking about Blur for Lolla.
Nothing to suggest Eminem is in play other than it being 10 years since the last time and he has good history with the fest. Trying to think of #1s to throw out there.
There could be some other big name coming, but the bar has been set so low with other fests that it feels like you could do Sza/Blink/Halsey/Killers and call it a day.

Could the Killers still headline? I could see them getting the "Returning to Grant Park" spot.

It seems like they're still getting headline gigs and it just seems so Lolla.
If they wanted to get lazy they could pull the Fall Out Boy trigger which always moves tickets in this town.
