Seriously, you guys must be sticking your genitals into some very strange places at Bonnaroo. I don't think I'm any more filthy after a couple days of Roo than I am most of the summer. I certainly don't give up coitus the rest of the summer, I'm not going to give it up at Bonnaroo either.
I am curious, those of you icked out by Bonnaroo sex:
A) Do you not shower at bonnaroo?
B) Do you shower before every sexytime session at home?
I think its the general look and stink of others at Bonnaroo after a few days. I've been with people I know have no showered until Sunday... I am no prude but a case of severe swamp ass could easily kill my vibe haha.

Ya'll are prudes. How would you guys ever have survived back in the day when bathing was a luxury? I can understand avoiding oral, but I don't see what the problem with bumping uglies is. A little sweat and dirt never killed anyone.
In fact, it's kind of a turn on. The whole primal side of it. I shower, though.
I'm lucky enough to have an exceedingly beautiful better half (well better 3/4's would be more accurate). We tend to enjoy a nice sweaty round before showers. But she smells even better when she sweats. That being said, we'll at least camp shower every day, so no long-term buildup of funk.

I shower every evening before bed at bonnaroo. no lines, and I sleep better. reveurconstant, I tend to agree with you a bit. at least a good makeout session.

a) Yes, I shower every other day in GA and every day in VIP. Even so, by 24 hours, I am a dusty, sweaty mess. Plus I'm covered in sunscreen, which makes me feel grody even if I'm not. And considering how clean I am normally, I know no one else will live up to my 'Roo standards.
b) Not before, I but definitely have to have had a shower in the last 24 hours. Same thing for the person I'm sleeping with. And if I'm hooking up with someone in the first few times that smells like they haven't cleaned up beforehand, that's a good indication the relationship won't work out.
Sleeping with someone when either party isn't clean is begging for a UTI. Just sayin'.
UTIs are yet another reason to stay hydrated at roo! If you are engaging in dirty sex, be sure to pee immediately after (or as soon as possible) to lower the risk of a UTI.
I shower every day at roo, so I guess that's why it doesn't seem like such a crazy idea.
I'm a clean freak as it is. I brush my teeth AT LEAST twice a day, I always floss, I always wash my hands and I take AT LEAST one shower a day (two if I work out). So I know I'm probably on the OCD end of the scale of cleanliness. I just don't like to FEEL dirty. In fact, when my husband was trying to convince me to come to Roo, the hardest part was the no showers, not the camping for four days.

^^^ I can relate. it was hard for me to give up the shower access my first roo. when I was doing clinicals in nursing school on the med/surg floor at the hospital (where pretty much every other patient was on contact precautions for MRSA), I would come home, take my clothes and shoes off in the garage, leave my shoes there, put my clothes in the washing machine immediately and go shower. on days that I also went to the gym I took 3 showers a day: in the morning, after clinical, and after the gym. I don't mind a little sweat but I really, really like to feel clean.
not saying there's never been a day I didn't go without showering, but I don't like to.

A. I do shower daily at roo. looking forward to actual showers this year but in previous years I got by with a solar shower +shower tent. B. no. but I would have to have showered fairly recently.
I think the issue with roo sex for me is more heat/noise/atmosphere than dirt. I've done it (haha, pun not intended) but it's not nearly as pleasant as in my own comfy bed with AC. of course, that was in 2010 when it was wicked hot. like, if-someone-accidentally-bumped-your-arm-while-standing-in-line-you-stabbed-them-(mentally)-hot.

Though this year I'll most likely be ponying up for a shower more than a few times, for the express purpose of doing some horizontal dancing. Quite frankly, I like hotsweatysticky sex, but at Bonnaroo there's a certain...odor that tends to waft from people's bodies, and I can't say that I want to get up close and personal with that lol.
I tried having sex in the showers, but the line of people behind us were getting impatient. We didn't even end up sexing, just showering which felt almost as good.

I haven't laid out the cash for the showers I just use baby wipes. I just assumed they weren't coed. They allow a man and woman into the same shower? I didn't think they would that's awesome. I will have to that this year, impatient people behind me or not.

This was volunteer showers, so they didn't have anyone working it. And baby wipes are a godsend, I have over 50 packed already haha.
