Weird Al with his "super-sized concert" bigger & weirder tour could make sense for Thursday. His tour starts on Friday the 13th and has 1 date in TN which is the last stop of his tour in September.
He mightve requested to play on Thursday and see the show as rehearsal for his tour. He might be big enough with this production for Bonnaroo to book him as the Thursday headliner.
thursday headliner is the soggy bottom boys for the 25th anniversary of o brother, where art thou
Maybe its Jack who got ahold of them (Tennessee connection) and it's the White Stripes doing a one-off show for the 20th Anniversary of Get Behind Me Satan.

An impossible to guess individual who came to the roo team saying "I wanna do this" and they're big enough to headline. Not guaranteed to be on the What.
It seems like they'd have to have Nashville or Bonnaroo ties to even want to make this happen.
- Les Claypool doing something wacky with friends (not one of the named projects and that's why its unguessable) - Griz doing a comeback show. Hard to guess bc he's on hiatus, easy to guess bc griz & roo - Billy Ray Cyrus??? - Carrie Underwood - Willie Nelson impossible to guess bc so old - The Rascall Flatts guy lol - Tommy Prine doing a tribute set for his pa, not big enough to headline - Chance making his big return? - John Mayer - Ben Folds - St Vincent

Dylan has been horrific live for a really long time. I couldn't think of a worse show to put on Thursday. He makes Vince Neil sound like prime Pavarotti.
