Months ago, the owl said there probably won't be a rap headliner
Well there will be a few rappers and hopefully a legacy one at this or that 1am Saturday/Sunday am. I’m hoping it’s someone I want to see at least enough to split a set. I’ve seen Tyler 4 or 5 times and he’s great. But I want some ratchet. Who is it?
Lil Wayne? Even though he's probably quacking awful live I would be there for the party. I will also throw Freddie Gibbs into the running

MCR / Olivia or Sabrina / Hozier is a trio I could vibe hard with
Give me a good undercard of rap/hip-hop & R&B (Black Pumas, Kid Cudi, Run the Jewels, etc) and I'm good
Olivia or Sabrina as a #1 still wouldn't thrill me, but if MCR is booked, it's enough for me at that point not to even care who the other HL's are
While there's other HLers I'd prefer, I'd have fun at an Olivia or Sabrina set and maybe dip early to go catch Gizz or whatever else is on late at night.
edit: Though didn't we also have no news of Fred around this time? I remember Post and RHCP being thrown around but #3 was dubious. I wouldn't be surprised if Tyler was in the same vein.

I just saw Public Enemy at Riot Fest this year, on the front row, and that shiz was live as hell. I know they'd be welcome too. Or instead of just GZA we could even have Wu-Tang as a whole

MCR felt very possible, I had put them on some mocks, but Roobus recently said they are very unlikely. Personally hoping that's wrong, I think that'd be a cool show.
Roo Bus (or at least Daniel) also thought that Metallica could be a possibility, with 2 shows at Nissan already on the cards, and a show in Houston on the Saturday of Bonnaroo weekend. I think they might be getting kept in the dark about some stuff

I’m pretty sure she would be on main or closing Which. Maybe she could close out a tent before or after a headliner even but it’ll have to have some good counter scheduling either way.

Forgot about that. I kinda hope that's right personally, if it means getting someone like Miley, Sabrina, Olivia, etc. We can't forget the possibility of Lana either. She's kind of fallen off the radar.
Maybe Lana - Kacey on Sunday is the "special, curated" night they teased. Lana is certainly one of the artists a lot of people have asked for over the last few years, and that would feel more like something they would tease as "special" over something like Hozier - Kacey.

I haven't heard about this, weird that Gambino was the front runner in rumors for a long time if so
The only thing I was able to find is him saying that rap isn't as requested of a booking at Roo as EDM, pop, and rock are - and i also found him saying that if current trends continue we won't see anymore rap headliners, but I don't think he meant that as in no rap headliner in 2025.

GZA is going out on tour soon with Lettuce as his backing band doing Liquid Swords. I know he already did this at Roo. But I’d welcome them both back. Also Snoop has a new album coming out produced entirely by Dr. Dre. All the singles have been good. Surprised he hasn’t been mentioned much recently. I feel like he’s a possibility.
