I think we’re still closer to that mythical Op Ivy reunion happening than we are to Hole getting back together honestly. At least we have visual evidence of the latter being in the same room together.
I was looking at a ska fest here in Virginia when I realized LJG was playing a OpIvy cover set with Catbite.
This seems like something Riot would book as well.

If Justice and Slayer played the same fest I think they should invert their respective crosses, so Justice has an upside down cross and Slayer has a right side up cross.
Prediction: 10 am announcement will be Punk in Drublic Chicago @ Riot Fest, 11 am will be the rest of the lineup
But could it be a thursday bonus day that they just throw in for 3 day pass holders that bought early.
With lineup confirmed to drop at 10 am, I'm updating my prediction to 11 am Punk In Drublic Thursday bonus day announcement. That way, midwestern NOFX fans can see the farewell show without having to purchase a full RF ticket, and NOFX can play a regular fest set that weekend as well.
Riot Fest's continued cowardice in not booking Judas Priest is just difficult to defend.
I think Rob owes the Stephenson family money. They seem to be Rosemont Theater exclusive these days, I can't even remember the last time they played a show within city limits.

Probably .... but the Rockford and Milwaukee shows in September getting announced the day before Riot Fest makes it feel like it was attainable.
I think I wrote a brief review of it but I was at the May Rosemont Theater show and Rob still slays. He saves his fastball for the big spots but it's there when he needs it.
Is that just speculation based on where other fests have been exiled to?
My assumption would be with that video that they gave the park district the middle finger so there goes any of those options. You have to narrow it down to like soldier field or bridgeview. Who else has the facilities to have the festival anyway.
And small tidbit that I think would tie into the theory of the NoDx day is that the end of the video says 2 and 3 day passes on sale. Do they expect people not to want to go to the NoFx day? Hmmmmm
My chicago friends are in total denial. Like they are shook and upset. ( mostly cause theyre north siders so douglass was already a hike )
