If it’s just my wife and I, which it always is these days, I’m not going to throw down thousands of dollars to save 20 minutes each way. It’s really not that serious. Especially since we don’t drink.
What thousands do you think some of us pay lol. I dont drink either and I still wouldnt do that. I guess paying $600 on lodging between both weekends is a foreign concept to some.

I have a really strong feeling that we could get Rosalía as a headliner next year. It’ll have been 3 years since Motomami release and she is working on her next album. She would also follow the “well received” show to headliner bump trend (Billie 2019/2022, Doja 2022/2023).
The XX, Rosalia and Dua Lipa is my guess with either Tame Impala or Missy Elliott as the special bottom font 4th headliner.

I would be so excited by this group of headliners, especially Rosalía and the xx
Not sure how many tickets it would move but I don’t care
Unless they’re going for Adele, Taylor Swift, BTS level acts as headliners, it seems like they won’t even begin thinking about these things until after the summer. Think they’re going lights out 2025
I think Travis Scott is a contender. I also think Taylor after her tour wraps current dates as the final Eras show, and that she was at 2024 Coachella to see her friends but also to be Shmoozed. Wouldn’t be surprised if asap rocky subs a day

Again, it’s only several mins farther than a hotel in Palm Springs with amenities you do not get in other hotels. I do not understand why you think it’s such a big deal to have to drive a few mins more than most people do anyways.

I think the fully equipped kitchen, pool, grill, free parking, laundry and shopping center 5 mins away from where I stayed makes it easier to not be by the casino even though Ill stop there on the way to gamble. 🤷🏻♂️
Saw Challengers last night…we NEED Trent & Atticus on the fields next year
saw a trailer for that movie using Nelly Furtado's "Maneater" and later learned they scored the film...seems a weird fit. Good movie?
It's a PERFECT fit and yes, all I could think watching it was "I need this on the fields." Movie is very fun, campy, well made. Also some of the better "actors playing sports" material I've seen - the three all look pretty legit, and tennis is not necessarily the easiest sport to look legit playing.
if we ever get another composer set it should be on main especially if it’s Williams or Reznor/Ross. need those screens and sound system going off for Imperial March or Gone Girl
Is Eldorado worth it / does it sell out in the general sale?
I did El Dorado for the first time this year and my honest opinion is that: - Is it noticeably better than car camping? 100% yes - There was never a line for showers and the charge stations were never full - toasters / microwaves were a nice touch - flushing toilets is a game changer - still gets hot but definitely not AS hot in those cabins. It at least shields you from the sun
BUT
I don't think it's worth almost $1800 per person if you're doing the 2 person cabin. Subtracting the price of the wristbands, you're paying about $1200 for the weekend per person on lodging. About $300 per night.. I feel like you can get better with airbnb/hotel if you book early enough . The cots aren't what I'd call comfortable and dust is still a thing in them
I'd only recommend it if 1) it's in your budget and you're not too worried about "best deal" and 2) you strongly prefer camping for the closeness vs commuting in and out every day

Agreed on this for the most part. I did a 4 person tent, sold my two extra festival wristbands, and kept the larger space for me and my partner. It came out to around $1400 for the weekend for me subtracting the price for the wristband and with the extra space I thought it was worth it. The 2-person lodges are cool but they look nicer on the outside than the inside IMO. They seem a little cramped to me but I didn't stay in one.
Another thing I will mention is that you have ins and outs with your car in El Dorado, so if you want to visit a friend at a hotel or go get breakfast or something, that's an option and I think that's worth it/cool.
Re: the cots, I pushed them together and put a queen mattress on top of them and was pretty comfy all weekend.
One con I will mention for the 4-person tents is that there are only a couple that have an unobstructed lake view, which is kind of a bummer. I got one, so it was fine with me, but I don't know if I'd feel the $1400 was worth it if I was in one of those long rows of tents without a lake view.
That being said, after renting a campervan and doing preferred camping last year, and doing El Dorado this year, if I had to choose again I'd choose El Dorado. I had way more space and it just feels nicer in there.
Def not next year but I’m definitely expecting Phoebe to headline within the next decade
If people thought a Lana headline set was low-energy, then oh boy!
Between the last Phoebe set and Lana’s set, both of which I loved, Phoebe’s show is MUCH higher energy than Lana. Her banter alone makes it a more engaging show.

Yeah Phoebe’s show is way higher energy than Lana’s. I Know The End gets the people going.

Big time, absolute banger live too. Scott Street sing along where she has runs into the crowd to have people sing along into the mic also ups the energy.
Thanks again to Shuck for the help with the background
It’s probably more likely John Williams passes away in the next 3 years than it is for him to play Coachella in that time span, dude is 1000 years old.

Only thing Morongo doesn't have out of this is a full kitchen. I'm literally just trying to let people know that there are great inexpensive options out there and I'm being called an unemployed broke deadbeat by random people and then have you tell me I'm an idiot for driving 5-10 minutes further than Palm Springs to stay at a resort instead of an Airbnb.
