There is no way Travis is curating the whole festival right? Like maybe around MainStage at most? Honestly thinking about him doing an entire Coachella takeover is a major buzzkill.
I'm hoping I'll be doing visuals for Wisp at Coachella. I would be super happy if I start just doing visuals at coachella yearly. if i can stay long enough to see other bands. I was barely at camp Flog Gnaw. I left at like 3pm to make a flight for Corona Capital.
*batting my eyelashes in a totally subtle way* how do you feel about giving artist badges to strangers you don't know if you're planning on leaving early?
A lot of bands are super into selling their wristbands and leaving early. Yet im still festival nerd who still collects all of his wristbands and go sees bands with excitement.
Not sure if it was mentioned because we did a speed run of 100 pages yesterday.
But the lineup graphic looks better this year and super clean. One of the reasons, no art installation mentions.
So is Travis designing the whole weekend?
Gonna be weird only seeing cactus jack theming everywhere as he alluded to on ig.
Would not be surprised if due to the early release now we're gonna get a separate "art lineup" release, kinda like we get for food vendors.
Possible that we get an art list later I guess. But you’d figure the art installations are the first thing they secure since some of these pieces are massive and need time to be put together.

My initial reaction was that he'll be designing some stuff but not all since there's not even the dolab mentioned on the bottom of the poster. They're probably still figuring out who's doing the art installations and will update the poster accordingly, but wanted to get the artists out to get the sale going. Perhaps that just hopium from me though.
After mustard showed Kendrick love by opening at the Pop Out it’s a guarantee. The only question is which weekend or is he gonna pull an Abel Metro thing and do both. I am assuming YG is both. With so many LA collars easy for these guys to drive out for the day both weekends.

I feel like the mustard set will be the exact same as the flog set. I give 50% chance Kendrick shows up one weekend. This isn’t a baby keem situation. Mustard and Kendrick don’t have that long of a history for a guarantee.

Sometimes W1 is hotter. Temperature differences are not constant. Neither are guests, the grass, or production issues.
What is constant though is cheaper lodging, less after parties, and set reviews from weekend 1.
Fozzie Bear I’ve been going W2 every year since 2017, and without fail it’s been hotter. If you’re camping especially it makes a huge difference and IMO should be enough to do W1 above all the other differentiators. The comment I’m quoting triggered me because I see a version of it every year and it always gave me false hope lol. I’m not going this year but my group is finally switching because of weather alone.
hoping the quasar artists aren’t already on the lineup. if they’re not, i’d love Joy O b2b Ben UFO and Four Tet b2b Avalon weekend 2. need something along the lines of that Flo Po / Daphni / Jamie b3b.

W2 is consistently hotter since I started going in 2012. It's actually crazy how that exact week always seems to be when the temp spikes.

the Quasar setup is so badass, you can get a prime spot at that stage from either side so easy AND with the expanded field area there's tons less bottle necking that happens in the corridor by Sahara

I doubt theyre on the lineup. They wouldnt be saying this separately.
