...did they finally fix the locker line problem? This is listed on the locker purchase page:
"NOTE: GA Lockers are AXS mobile ID digital passes that will be sent to the AXS or Coachella mobile app beginning in early April 2025. Approximately 1 week before the show, your locker assignment and lock combination will be sent to the email address associated with your order."
🙏
Thank god, although this year the lines weren't that bad tbh. But this sounds like a sound confirmation that we will be getting to skip any line in general, praise be Paul Tollett.
Locked in for weekend 2 and bringing a first timer which always makes it more fun for me
Aww I hope they experience the magic that keeps us coming back
If they don’t I’m burning and turning them with the quickness. Jk jp she’s already sending me shit non stop since last night. It shall be a great time.
Coachella DnB probably peaks with Chase and Status this year and fizzles out
Really sad, although I think you're probably right, unless it continues to take off. It's weird they didn't book at least one of Sub Focus or Dimension given their blow up and showings at Ultra/EDCLV/EDCO and other festivals. I still hold out hope for a Quasar B4B.

DJ lineup is insanely bad. But at least they got sparrow & barbosasa
Someone besides Sound needs to book the Yuma ffs
Is there anything I should be excited about on the Yuma lineup. Right now I’m just looking forward to HAAi since I haven’t seen her before. Don’t see really anyone else jumping out.

either this or the brostepification of D&B occurs, which would be worse
Definitely the brostepification, it's kinda already happening, which is why I see it fizzling out. What washed US artists are doing to DnB is unconscionable and is ruining the rise in the scene, and, I mean I like Reaper, but the guy is very much stepping into brostep territory.

Oh, you mean Chase and status? Lol. We are there my friend. They are the Skrillex, shitty copies potentially to follow. But honestly the genre probably just doesn’t have enough hold for it to really go anywhere I think

lol don’t exactly disagree, but I mean from here. The next step would be so much worse.

How’d I get stuck in this laundry machine, can you help me bro-step?

I mean I wouldn't compare C&S's music to Skrillex circa the brostep era, Skrillex's era hasn't aged well, while C&S have long made the same music and it's pretty timeless (at least compared to fad chaser music). Unless you just mean they're both the leaders of the wave, then I def agree lol

lol, go listen to Chase and Status songs from the same era you are saying Skrillex didn’t age well like Big Man, because you must have some rose colored glasses about their sound back then.
Chase and Status’ sound right now in fact also mirrors a lot of Skrillex’ sound now as they’re frankly on similar trains of sounds from each respective era.
All that is to say, yes I was reallly just speaking to respective leads of the movement

Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites is a classic
Yes, but even some songs off the album haven't aged well, plus the later music circa that era hasn't either. Plus SM&NS has a lot of nostalgia factor clouding some of its cringe. It's def a classic though.

So you’ve gone from, that entire skrillex era hasn’t aged well to some songs off that album haven’t aged well? Ya gotta sing fully live and stop backtracking

I dunno, I can hear a ton of Skrillex influence in D&B and other EDM scenes today. Sure, nobody's dropping early Skrillex tracks today but I really don't think songs like Baddadan exist without Skrillex.

(That “album” was also like a four track ep)
The era didn't age well, but some songs are classics (others tainted by nostalgia), I don't think that's backtracking nor mutually exclusive.

I would think their dubstep influences come from home, where it literally came from, no? Like yes, Skrillex is influential, but the British literally came up with it lmao

So the era didn’t age well, but it produced songs that by definition are great in any age.
In any case, just give it time and I bet eventually that an iteration of that sounds comes back and is cool again. Literally every genre of music goes through the cycle no matter how rough it may sound now, I don’t think this will be any different.
