Doja and No Doubt also weren't repeat headliners so I'm not sure why they're looped in with a question about whether Gambino would return to headline again.
I don't think it's super likely that Gambino is headlining again, but I don't know that a repeat headliner is a disqualifier given that Doja played a high profile slot in 2022 and Tyler was touring the same 3 year old album.

The only repeat headliner they've booked in the last seven years was Rage Against The Machine, who were 13 years past their last time headlining and a reunion.
I definitely could see him headlining soon just maybe not 2025, but 2026 as I could see Chella wanting to grab one of his "last performances" if he is actually done after the new album later this year.
A lot of my friends and people my age who were in HS when he dropped Because the Internet and Kauai are all trying to see him. I have friends who never go to live shows who now must see him live.

Honestly I think any A lister actor could move insane tix if they went on a tour: Zendaya, Selena Gomez, Brady Cooper, Guy that plays Wolverine.
None of these would move more Coachella passes than Lana, Tyler, Doja or No Doubt either.
And kinda funny to see you call them “A list” when you got one of their names wrong and couldn’t even think of the name of another.
Regardless, if the thought is this year’s headliners weren’t big enough to move tickets then booking Childish Gambino would just be repeating the same mistake, possibly even worse.

Given that No Doubt had the biggest crowd of the weekend I think it’s fair to believe they did have a draw in terms of ticket sales.

I don't think doubting Gambino's draw is the same thing as being a GV homer.
Gambino fascinates me. Definition of a jack of all trades, master of none. Movie star - but he has never had a lead role in a movie (unless you count voicing Simba). TV star - supporting role on Communtiy and a lead role on a highly regarded, but niche, TV show. Music star - with like two hits.
His Coachella show was a fucking snoozefest and was the hardest headlining show I've ever had to get through, but my wife loved it. He's polarizing.

He’s the lead on Mr. And Mrs. Smith on Amazon that he’s currently promoting. Also, saying he was just a lead on Atlanta is disingenuous knowing he was also the creator of said show.

Zendaya would bring a bunch of fans but no where close to a headliner. People got super excited to see her perform a song with Labrinth, but she just doesn't have the music career to get people out to Coachella. And Bradley Cooper? Lol
