Calm down y’all. Chappell is having a big moment but she is absolutely not a headliner, and if this year has taught the industry anything it’s the value of waiting to see if someone has lasting power (see: Ice Spice struggling to sell half the tix to a 2k cap venue now). GV used to wait for subs and headliners to really establish themselves. Maybe it’s impossible to truly establish oneself in today’s fractured music world but jumping into a flash in the pan that has played literally every fest this year is definitely not the answer. Who knows what would happen if her next album bombs.

I don't think she'll be on the 2025 lineup but to compare Chappelle Roan to a walking meme like Ice Spice wild. You don't need to be a 21 year old lesbian to know Chappell has "it" and will be an arena act/headliner for the immediate future.
Maybe the artist who spoke between songs last week about how fast her career is moving and its all too much right now and she wants to slow down a bit won't rush to put out a follow-up album in 6-9 months and headline the biggest music festival in the world in 10 months
I don’t see her headlining in 2025, but if she did return I think sub would be very realistic. I honestly think we’ll see her headlining plenty of fests in 2026.

i definitely could see Chappell Roan being a rare 2 year in a row booking. just seeing the crowds shes pulling at other festivals as well as the fact that she has another album on the way prob coming out early next year it just makes sense
Ok first off, i think she is a great talent....that being said...didn't she just have a mini melt down about her rise in fame? Like too much too fast...i see her taking a breath, before hitting the festival circuit again, and by 2026....she might be a sub at best?
Chappell Roan is great but I'm surprised that no one is also bringing up Sabrina Carpenter as someone who could return very fast. She was already popular (deserving of 2nd line on this year's poster imo), but she's gotten WAY more popular since Espresso came out + her Coachella set being very well received. Please Please Please is having movement too. If her upcoming album blows up like it's trending towards, she can easily be a sub in 2025. Or potentially a headliner in 2026 depending on how this next year shakes out. She already had the best Main stage performance on Friday this year.
If we're going off of Spotify, Sab Carp currently has 70 million monthly listeners to Chappell Roan's 20 million. I think Chappell will get there, she is THAT good in my opinion. But Sabrina is more seasoned in years, discography, and stage performance. She would make more sense for the rare back to back appearance and being boosted to sub immediately. And she's much closer to obtaining headliner status than Roan, at least for now. Give Chappell a couple years to show some lasting power, I believe that she will, but we have to see it first. I'm not a big fan of new artists, having a hot moment, being considered instant headliners nowadays lol

honestly don’t remember “Olivia will headline 2023” being anything close to a consensus opinion around here, but that would also have been a silly thing to believe then.
