Tommy Richman has another one with Devil Is A Lie, if I'm Paul I'm booking him as soon as I can so I can keep the billing demands in check lol. He is about to blow.
They'd just demand to be higher last minute like everybody else.
Idk if anyone is at Fred but Jesus Ticketmaster took an absolute shit. Tickets won’t load for half our group idk what they are going to do lol
Glad to know it wasn’t just me. I def should have put it in my wallet but I got it last minute. I had to go on mobile, pretend to list it for sale then it came to my wallet. I hope it worked out for everybody

My instant Fred again-Coachella 2025 thoughts after the coliseum 1. Ok yes he could technically be a headliner but I still think a weak one and you should have better options. I would must rather he be Sunday main sunset or outdoor closer. 2. Tonight reminded me of what I heard in the after commentary on Hacks this season. “Frat culture is timeless”. The kids are progressing and smarter than we are but no matter what dumb frat culture still lives and it was alive and present there. 3. But I will say Fred again could only ascend like he has in a generation where it’s ok for college males to cry so that’s a plus. (I attribute a lot of that to Frank ocean ironically)
Overall great show. I know we said he just has this market in LA/NY and once he tours demand and venue size may go down but idk. He may have hit something here with these college stadiums. That show was USC’d out. Which is ready cause I’m pretty sure they’re not even in school.

I guess a bunch of people went to will call to try and resolve the issue.
So how full was it?
And I dont know why a bunch of people expected their seats to be there in the lower levels, but once the nosebleed peeps realize no tickets were being checked they went at it. Seems to left a bad taste for the people who dropped $150 only to lose their seat to the ones that got the $20 tix.

I was in the nosebleeds so it was empty around me. Can’t speak for below but like you said. No security checking so I could have went down. I would have if I wasn’t with 8 other people who got tickets this morning so we were just there to dance real quick but Fred did mention there was a seating issue. My friend who had tickets in the 100s couldn’t get her seat cause it was full. I imagine her experience was much worse than mine lol
Not even to mention the people standing on top of the walkway at the end. Fucking college kids.
So Coachella sold 161K/250K possible? I’m sure they made a profit but that doesn’t seem promising. I’m sure a knockout lineup next year moves that to 200K but another slow lineup we may have to have conversations if it gets down to 140K
maybe they should have paid Swift(x2) the $50m she wanted.
REM has declined Coachella multiple times and the problem isnt money. It might make more sense at Stagecoach or Cruel World anyways, maybe some branding tweaks.

Yeah. That was total bullshit from the vids I saw. I was surprised there didnt appear to be any guards at spots on the walkway? That wouldve stopped it much faster. And part of it broke. We wouldnt have heard the end of this if somebody got hurt. I was already picturing the EDC 2010 trampling if people were gonna try to jump down to the floor last night.

Lol what? REM at Stagecoach? Yeah, no. Of the 3, Stagecoach is the least on brand. Cruel World > Coachella > Stagecoach.
And the issue is they don’t want to reunite. It’s not branding.

It's crazy to me that I saw Fred at a tiny venue like the Roxy just like 3 years ago (even though I know he could've sold out a larger venue even then) and then seeing him at a stadium show last night.
My biggest take away from last night is that flight fm hits just as hard as I thought it would live.
I was at the show last night (at least for about an hour). I paid $18 for my ticket and the show was exactly worth that much lol. I had mixed feelings about his live show at Coachella two years ago, and this confirmed that it’s not for me. I also think he’s just so cringey. Regardless, some parts of the show was still fun and the production/sound was decent.

i really like him but i can see why people dislike the cheesiness of his music. i think his melodrama appeals to my midwest emo enjoyment lol. i do think the middle part of delilah pull me out of this is incredibly cringe tho

i can't see R.E.M. doing festivals but i bet they would have a really successful arena tour if they reunited (core demographic has more than enough disposable income)

The minute you start suggesting REM at Stagecoach is when family intervenes and puts you on a mental health hold.

I thought the Challenger score was... not good. In fact when the credits played I thought someone was spoofing NIN until I googled it. (Not that Trent & Atticus live wouldn't have a solid chance at being really good)
i definitely could see Chappell Roan being a rare 2 year in a row booking. just seeing the crowds shes pulling at other festivals as well as the fact that she has another album on the way prob coming out early next year it just makes sense

How high do you put her then. Is she a sub? If all this keeps up and she possibly gets a number 1 album on billboard almost a year after release then get a slew of grammy nominations then you likely have a Best New Artist winner on your hands.

If this trajectory continues, I could see her being a sub. Definitely seems like she could pack the Coachella Stage fairly well at this point
Yeah, Chappell is sub or headliner next year if she returns. She went from like 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify in April to over 20 million now. By the end of summer, she’s going to be a household name.
For those that like electronic music, just went to Sonar in Barcelona this weekend. What a great festival.
Charlotte de Witte’s Ovedrive on a massive stage was probably one of the most insane electronic sets I’ve been to in years.
Ela Minus & Richie Hawtins’ new shows were great and would be awesome to see on the fields, but not sure I see either of them making the lineup again next year.
VTSS absolutely crushed and needs to get booked. Yune Pinku sounded great live as well and would do well in the Sonora.
