not only that but Fortnite had it's next year of updates leaked and Snoop Dogg just happens to have a big event planned right around the same time as Coachella.
Keinemusik's set from Eygpt in front of the pyramids from earlier this year is now on YouTube. Their longer sets make them pretty ideal for the Quasar stage. Hope they come back next year.

Caught the first stop of Missy Elliott’s tour and it was a super energetic, colourful and highly produced show, looked like everyone in the arena was having a good time.
The production would be difficult to translate to coachella I think, but I’d be very hyped to see that on the fields.
I’m editing my mock right now and what I’m learning is that I need to figure out more second line artists with longer names.
After seeing their Brooklyn Mirage show yesterday, Keinemusik is hands down a 2nd line name now
The amount of merch everyone was wearing, fans from all over the world, etc
Ga Tickets were re-selling for $300, VIP for $700-800
I was there as well and totally agree. it felt like a big cult convention. i always have high expectations when i see them and they always go above and beyond.
idk i feel like Missy Elliot would be a big font sub. tour isnt quite selling well as we typically see for a headliner. Could for sure see her subbing for one of Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, or Dre & Snoop

I know a lot of people have speculated about Quasar having an extended Keinemusik set but I'm curious how they'll go about with the Quasar lineups moving forward. Now with it in place, I wonder if they will still 1. keep the lineups different each weekend and 2. get announced after the normal lineup drop. Sure, the Do Lab and Heineken House already do this but it seems like Quasar is being treated as more of an "official" stage since it was actually included in the set times (unlike the Do Lab or Heineken House). That stage came together somewhat last minute so it's possible the different lineups & late announcement were just due to the timing of it all and could announce it in a more standard way from here. If that's the case, will they try to put it on the poster and keep the lineups the same each weekend?
My guess is that they'll roll it out the same way as last year. The Quasar announcement did move some tickets though so if they want to keep doing that, would probably push more tickets if they announced it earlier. That would also mean that if Keinemusik does play it then it might be for one weekend only which I'm sure would upset some people.
Or... maybe it just doesn't come back next year at all. Wouldn't be the first time something like this happened, Coachella had a full lineup for the Oasis Dome in 2011, featured it on the official set times just like Quasar and it never came back (there was another Oasis Dome in 2006 but that basically turned into the Heineken House throughout the years).
Considering the money spent on Sahara and then dropping Quasar to take up that space it would be a tactical error to remove it. Especially if the goal of this all was to crowd control more. We got to experience the expansion with a lot less people than intended. Now if they do right next year and return to form you will have an extra 20-30,000 people so the space is going to have to be there and of use.

i feel like the quasar and huge sahara definitely worked well to draw people away from the main stages. it was so comfy and easy to get up front this year. like ik it was undersold but the idea of having whats basically a huge, open air yuma is genius

How do they draw 20-30,000 more people next year than this year?

Bigger headliners? And second line acts that sell out venues that are bigger than 3k cap? Ice Spice still hasn’t come close to selling out the Fox in Oakland lol…one of the worst bookings relative to lineup placement they’ve ever had

What did you think of their set? I definitely liked the set better last year, but still had a blast. Just the best vibes for 7 hours

Shouldve switchEd Ice Spice and Chappell Roan on billing with their current statuses.
Just get Talking Heads.
They have to have Headliners that make people feel the need to justify the cost pretty much makes the case in itself. Are people going to keep coming to festivals for value now that theyre priced put of regular tours? Thats the question.

The latter part is a great point. i mean if they get olivia rodrigo next year, depending on the market u live in that pretty much covers the cost of the wristband alone. combine that with some strong second lines and another unique exclusive headliner and its much easier to justify the cost
