Calvin Harris had a bigger crowd than Bad Bunny but I wouldn't say that means Calvin Harris is more popular. I was specifically talking about crowd size as evidenced in my first sentence when I precisely said "pull a bigger crowd", not "is more popular".
Got it, then you are still precisely wrong.
You act as if an EDM artist on the main has never pulled a crowd bigger than one of the headliners.

But this whole argument is massively stupid. Reportedly Fred again.. is one of our headliners and if we go by the current rumors, Charli xcx is most likely NOT headlining. So basically GV is going with Fred (and others) over Charli to headline Coachella next year, despite what this sub thinks or what BRAT did this summer.
do yall ever wonder what it would be like to engage with the art you gossip incessantly about?
"oh my god!!! Can you believe that once again Rüfüs du Sol used almost exclusively minor keys in their songs in their new albums, making them more engaging than Fred again..'s trite use of major keys and vocal samples??"
"Look at that loser Ashley!! Can you believe she prefers the use of pop punk guitars and less processed vocals on Sucker compared to the heavy Auto-Tune and PC Music-inspired heavy bass of Brat? And can you fucking believe she thinks Charli's only going to sub next year?? We should totally key her car."
1) Fred is bigger than Charli in his respective genre, and has had an overall steadier career than Charli who very well might fade back into niche gay popstar territory after the brat era is said and done (but who knows, I genuinely want more for her). As a sub-point, he's already been a headliner technically and has proven his hold over large EDM markets with ticket sales, particularly SoCal. He sold 60k tickets to the Coliseum in like 5 days notice after doing like 5 or 6 shows here in the past year, Charli doesn't have that pull.
3) Sure, but I won't get into the reasons why that's not really a big help as I'd have to go into a tangent over politics (largely Kamala's attempts at reaching to Gen Z and the queer community in a very token way) and would rather not do that here
Could Charli headline? Maybe, but the chances of it are slim compared to an RTTD or sub spot, especially with the rumored headliners.
Weren’t those tickets like $20? And he’s not selling tickets on his tour that is hitting other cities. His steady career has taken off really after he headlined Coachella. Justifying his headliner ability bc of his pull that is due in part to the fact that he’s headlined. Bit recursive. Charlis tour has been sold out and tickets are impossible to get because they’re worth several hundred dollars and she has been on top of the cultural zeitgeist all year. He’s big with mainstream fans who like edm.
Every bar and club is playing Charli xcx every weekend. People are dressing up as her for Halloween. Fred released 2 albums this year that were heavily under the radar, and outside of this forum I actually haven’t heard or seen his name in my life in months. If Fred again can headline, Charli xcx can headline.
Not to mention the Fred again headlining sets at iii points, lolla, were widely considered underwhelming and the Bonnaroo set had mixed reviews. His whole thing with minimal production and these long drawn out interludes where he noodles the piano while talking is a snooze fest.
The tickets were not $20 outside of maybe some nosebleeds closer to the concert for those that missed the actual sale since it didn't fully sell out (it was still like 95% sold at retail price). Charli could not fill that type of stadium venue period, even in LA. Coming from a fan of both too. Also, Fred's tour (outside of the Coliseum, Frost, and SF shows) has focused on hitting non-major EDM markets, his ticket pull is not focused on his ability to sell out an arena in DePaul, MI, but his continued ability to sell out high capacity shows in California and NY despite visiting them multiple times a year. Plus, I'd argue his career took off after his massively overfilled Mojave set where he was already criminally underbilled at the time (more so than Chappell was in their respective moments of fame in those times).
There's also the point that another person made that Charli would be headlining off of one massive album alone, which is different to a steady career. And you not hearing about Fred outside of this forum is less of a stain on him than it is on your lack of engagement in the EDM realm.
Also, I think he's cut down on the talking, or at least we can only hope. It was pretty unbearable at the Coliseum, although not literally 2 days prior at his Secret Life show there, he didn't talk much at all so he at least does have the capability to shut up lol

Billings are complete ass but the overall sentiment and all the names on there are great. It's missing some more DnB and fails to comport with already solid rumors though.

she sold out two arena dates with insanely expensive resale in LA she could easily sell 60k tickets for $20. and saying Fred has had a steady career rise and not charli is just moronic.
