hey does anyone want to have a five week long argument on if Ariana Grande is a “flop” or not, vis a vis her crowd size and sales figures ca. Coachella 2019 vs. what they would be today?
Yes please, provided that we carefully analyze her relative popularity between NY/LA and flyover country, the prevalence of Halloween costume usage of her, and a thorough dissection of how she would handle a protester interrupting her concert.

Coachella needs to book Thug for his first show since the trial ASAP!! The energy would be nuts.
ideally his first show back woulda been in Atlanta's stadium but with the court ruling that he's banned from Atlanta i think Coachella livestream would be the next best thing
if I remember correctly, the plan was for him to about a year after he died, but since he died n shit, that kind of made things improbable.
At the time of MJs death the London dates ended March 6th. Other dates of the 50 show run would have been dropped and added pushing it through April 2010. Before he died I heard rumours about taking the THIS IS IT show to other cities for lengthy residencies.
Also remember that his last proper show in continental US was January 1989. Promoters wouldnt touch him.
I always wondered why both the Dangerous and HIStory tours never went to the US aside from Hawaii. Were the allegations the main reason or was it that his popularity was much bigger outside the US that he never bothered?

He can be in Atlanta for a concert. In fact he has to do one anti gang concert a year in Atlanta for 4 years. Which is a crazy thing for a judge to mandate. American law is hilarious

Also I was mostly joking as I’m almost positive he still has a lawsuit with AEG. But maybe they can settle it for his first show back + tour. But that’s what the original lawsuit is for 😂
Why is Post Malone a sub instead of Charli when he already 2nd line subbed for Beyonce back in 2018 and his new album/tour was a success and "I've Had Some Help" tripled the streams of any song on Brat?
they really dropping the lineup thanksgiving week or before xmas this year?
also, need mr experience on the polo fields. would be a sexy mid afternoon set.
They've never done that before which makes it very unlikely even though the HDD article hinted at it. If anything they may be shooting for that earlier date so that if there is last minute issues like there has been in the recent years then it comes out "on time."

Most of it comes from the fact that YEazyBrazy said "post malone rumor has legs. as of now a sub, but would be moved to headline if a deal with supposed others fall through. can’t confirm it tho". If you're looking for a particular logic, remember, this is Goldenvoice.

He’s also more popular than Fred. And Green Day is more popular than all of them. But the rumour from Yeazy is that Post is a sub.

they also did not do presale super early which they offered almost immediately after the festival ended this year so some things are changing. i can see GV releasing the lineup earlier this year to capture the holiday consumer market. if i were a business, man, i would be reluctant to release it in January given how the festival has not been selling out in minutes like in past years.
read somewhere that PT stated that he likes to wait to see what else it out there that he can book so there's that.

Just rewatched Sabrina's W1 set. Crowd was completely dead for Espresso since it had just released the night before lol so obviously with the new album not releasing until three months ago...the material would be very new and show completely different. Slight weird take, but her production value was pretty damn high, so that might slightly play against her since what can she realistically add for a headlining performance?
Well, it's fun that the Coachella YouTube page is active at least. Who doesn't love watching Gaspard not say a single word
Such a good BTS.
I try not to get too in the weeds of liking a band outside of a joke so I can try and maintain an objective resolve to satisfy the endlessly hungry critical part of my brain and so I can avoid the trappings of stanning anyone. I've seen this show four times this year and after last week felt maybe I was getting too burnt out on the same band. And then I watch this video and realize "you would be the biggest fucking idiot on earth to not see them again if they set foot anywhere in North America next year."
Had a dream last night that Coachella released the lineup early, but Sunday only. It was just a single list of about eight names or so...with Chappell Roan at the top and Sublime at the bottom (playing like a 12-hour long overnight set). The Promise Ring was also on there. Can't remember anything else

Had the same feeling with them the weeks after Portola and just told my friend last night that I'd probably be ready to see them again next summer. But yeah.. watching this was a helpful reminder that it's basically your civic duty to see Justice any and every time

Post has more than 2x monthly listeners on Spotify than Green Day
