At least they lost on their own terms instead of the clock being ran down. Cant be mad at Kirby after all he’s given this school but I certainly have some choice words for Beck
Williams giving them the dirty bird was great though.
A 25 year old dance from another team? Not to take away from Williams' incredible play but I don't think his celebration dance added any salt to the wound.
So many funny things about this. The announcers were like "thankfully Matt Jones was able to make it to the sideline on his own after his clearly fake injury".
Also, Kentucky Sports Radio's Matt Jones (same name, weird) said before the game that our defense would probably do these kinds of dives when Ole Miss went hurry up, so that we could make subs. I had just turned the game on and I assumed it was one of our guys before they showed the replay.
We probably gotta win out to make the playoff? Idk, maybe only losing @ Texas could get us in. But yeah, probably gotta win out, thanks to that stupid SC loss.
As much as I conceptually don't like the consolidation of these super conferences, the reality is we get much cooler schedules. Texas-Georgia in a few weeks will be a banger, and it's satisfying to have USC and Oregon playing all these Big 10 teams.
