So it looks like the Georgia Tech game wasn't a fluke last weekend
pre-season polls continuing to be a joke.
My older one has gotten sufficient interest now to where he saw what happened in week zero. I told him that, every year, they're spectacularly wrong about at least one team in the top ten. So far, FSU looks like a lock for it even if they pull this one out.
PS DJ's accuracy is garbage. Neither of the guys in the TAMU-ND game last night would have thrown some of the shit I've seen him toss in just the short time I've been watching.

Them trying to get a tomahawk chant going right after their defense gave up two chunk plays is diabolical.
I went to the Music City Bowl where half their team got suspended for academic cheating and they lost to UK. Other than one song from Monty Python and the Holy Grail that they did twice that tomahawk chop *song* was all they played.

They probably felt that he showed improvement when he was at Oregon State. It's easy (and deserved) to dog DJ after those games, but their run defense was awful last night too. Several plays where the guy from BC just ran into a pile and somehow came out the other side. Others where there were just massive lanes to run in.
the bigger joke is how long they take to adjust. For example, Oregon will still be a top 5 team despite barely beating FCS Idaho.
I want to say it might be different this time since #6 Ole Miss did what they did to Furman, but if anything, #7 Notre Dame beat a ranked team which means they are automatically going to jump someone because they're Notre Dame. Realistically, you're probably right, and the top 5 will stay the same.

If things made sense, this would be the obvious answer, but the polls are so weird sometimes. There's a legit part of me that still expects FSU to be like #24 even though I know they deservedly won't even get a vote.
