lmao maybe if they put a heartbeat monitor in the wristband? I’d love to know this too as long as there was a way to get it without gross invasions of privacy.
But I bet it’s way under 50% up until 2 AM then shoots up to 80%
I drop at 8p
Definitely understand why you would delay taking, but if you take it that late you miss out on the magic of day turning tonight. Wouldn’t trade that for anything.
Everyone in goose is a multi instrumentalist, and so they play as Geese when they've done the ole switcheroo on who is singing, playing guitar, etc. and gives them the opportunity to explore different styles. It's why they sound so different.
Don't confuse that with Geese the Belgian German electronoc artist that is playing bonnaroo.
Oh wow, thanks, I was totally assuming the weird Geese I found on Youtube was the Geese that would be at Roo. And I had no clue Geese was Goose. From what I saw, I much prefer the singular, which is much better for the gander, and my ears. I'll have to look for the Belgian Geese, now that I know there's multiple birds that must not be of a feather since they don't flock together.

i wish roo had some giant art installations for this very reason. it's something Coachella does well and that feeling of dropping on your first night and watching everything shift from day to night with the art lighting up is pure disorienting magic.

When the goose and geese get together as a flock, they call themselves pigeons playing ping pong. Really silly shit

my best Roo comeup was when I dropped pre sunset at LP Giobbi WITW dead covers set. I definitely get what y'all mean
To be fair their last 2 albums won the rock Grammy for their respective release years. But I agree that Melophobia is the best album as a whole. My fav songs on are Thank You Happy Birthday, tho
Interesting, I don't keep up with awards much, or Cage, but I intend to learn more about the latter.
An example of why industry awards don't interest me much is how my homies The Black Keys won the best rock album Grammy for what I think is one of their worst albums, El Camino, and multiple awards for Lonely Boy, a song I don't much care for. They've been one of my favorite bands for over 20 years but their most radio-friendly and weakest work has been the most lauded.
This is the problem I’m having. For my tastes this is the worst lineup they’ve had and I’d totally go to a different camping festival with my Bonnaroo group if there was a similar alternative to attend but there’s really not another option we can do. I skipped 2022 because of the lineup (first one I’ve skipped since 2003 but after the two cancelled years I didn’t get presale in 2022 and couldn’t justify a ticket on that lineup) while most of my usual group went and then I went back last year because I loved the lineup. None of us are particularly excited by this lineup but the majority of my group will probably be there just because it’s the only option and hey always get presale and a few of us will probably just settle for going to a couple local fests and hope for next year to be better.
Yeah, welcome to my boat. Roo is better than no Roo, so without a viable alternative we're going. And I'm reminded of a Norm Macdonald quote, "Note to self: No matter how bad life gets, there's always beer." I generally don't get too carried away with the booze and mari_____, but this might be the time for an exception.

Hard agree, coming up during sunset and seeing everything light up for crank up for the night is incredible.

If you don’t know them at all you will still know several of these songs when you hear them. Come a Little Closer, Cigarette Daydreams, Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked, etc.
I was looking up yesterday to see how many acts I’ve seen. I came up with 19 total which seemed kind of light But I haven’t yet gone back to the last 3 I went to compare to those. I think some of it seems that way because of the EDM they have this year isn’t stuff I usually go to. Some like PL I’ve seen a dozen times and some several or a few. I came up with PL, RHCP, Fisher, GWAR, Michigander, JRAD, Gary, Thundercat, T-Pain, SvD, Diplo, Cage, Idles, Brittany, bbng, Alexandra as Alison W, JI & 400, Yves and Joey Bada$$. I can’t remember a couple of EDM or not (Galantiis, Dr Fresch). I guess I’ll look back at some point when I don’t have shit to do and.figure out if this is around average or not.

I’ve only seen 7 so far: Jason Isbell (12), Cage the Elephant (2), Gary Clark Jr (2), Teskey Brothers, SG Goodman, BADBADNOTGOOD, and T-Pain.
I asked in a very careful way if it would be silly to expect Tame doing a 10 year anniversary show next year, Brad's answer was "it makes a lot of sense." Which isn't a yes, but was more than enough for me.
I'm 100% on board with Tame coming back, I just personally hope it's not a full Currents set. They've played most of those songs a ton, and the ones they haven't imo are not as good live songs as what we'd get from Lonerism, Innerspeaker, etc. Unless they actually gave them a 2 hour slot or something, then I'd be down for it.

Pretty Lights Eggy Seven Lions Mdou Moctar Red Hot Chili Peppers Brittany Howard Fred Again.. Megan Thee Stallion Carly Rae Jepsen Ashnikko Four Tet Yves Tumor
it is strange how people seem to love bass music at bonnaroo but every couple years they are like "lets try booking a bunch of house instead".
i know PL has a unique appeal but i feel like a bunch of bass artists would've complemented him better than artists like oliver heldens. i'm not complaining, personally i'm happy to have some more house, just saying its an odd choice.
It is crazy to me that none of his posse / edm artists that are similar to PL are missing from the lineup. Would have sworn we would have gotten 1-3 of Manic Focus, Break Science, Michael Menert, Chris Karns, Marvel Years, Maddy O’Neal, So Down, Minnesota. Somebody along those lines. Gramatik in the Diplo spot would have been a major improvement for ya boy.
There are lot of people on psychs LN at Roo but I think y'all are overestimating. 4am? Yeah the % goes up. But at 2am you still got plenty of ungeeked folks. Also depends on if you're counting molly as a psych.
Agreed. Kaliope was a panacea for watching people freaking and geeking. The two nights I went I was fucked up because it was the aftershows. But I just sat there watching people pass by twitching and moving erratically. I’m thinking that probably wasn’t mushrooms or acid though.
Stop telling people about L and I. Fuck Kaliope got stupid
