I hope they book Deftones like they did Blondie last year. Them v Justice is a tragic conflict but them v Everything Always would be perfect
I second this. They are the fiances #1 for the weekend and Justice is up there for me. He refuses to split up for sets (I personally have no issues with it whatsoever) so I will have to make a hard decision if they do conflict.
Okay I'll say it: it's time for a Coachella cum leak, even if its just a dribble. GV can only give us blue balls so many times before someone blows a load so messy that it scrambles the lineup placements.
I hope not, but it would be a crazy way to start the weekend. Just goes to show anything is possible. I doubt anyone imagine Porter Robinson would’ve had the slot he did this year.
Just noticed the Yuma closers on here. The highest billed Yuma artist usually doesn't close the tent (Keinemusik did last year though) so I doubt it'll be all three of ANOTR, The Blessed Madonna or ARTBAT. I'm guessing Friday will be Adriatique and Saturday will be Reinier Zonneveld.

I think the biggest complaint I've gotten regarding Deftones on these mocks is how they've only been scheduled to play for 50 minutes.
Two questions, what is the shortest festival set Deftones have done recently? And #2, if we put them in Blondie's slot, do we think they could still play longer than 50? My guess for the 2nd question is probably not.
Unless we hear Flight Facilities is doing a DJ set, this baby feels like it is going in either the Cannons or DRAMA Gobi slot from last year.
Yeah they're billed super low but so were DRAMA.
Drama was billed pretty low for how late of a slot they got, but I'd argue they were quite a bit more popular considering they were on those two huge Gorgon City tracks.
My collective did a show with Flight Facilities at 1015 Folsom in SF almost exactly a year ago (granted it was a DJ set), and we couldn't sell it out. At this point Flight Facilities most popular song by a large margin is 'Crave You', and that's from almost 15 years ago.

FF posted on their IG a day or two ago and it was pic of them with their featured vocalist they bring on tour(Owls Eyes and Ric Rufus) the post is about their spring tour. It’s going to be live not and DJ set. Also they dj’d the do lab last year

Right, we have them in the Gobi instead of the Yuma for that reason. I just don't think they'll get as late of a slot as Drama did last year.

They did an hour long set at ACL Fest in 2018, and Blondie also played for an hour last year. I don't think they have to close the tent for it to be an "extended" set

I have a strong feeling Bizarrap will be MainStage before Peso Pluma with Lil Uzi Vert closing the new Sahara against Lana. But maybe this is just wishful thinking. Having unopposed headliners fucking blows.

This just makes more sense than current. Uzi on main as the sun is going down is just weird. Sahara just seems like the obvious venue for him, especially given that it’s larger

Yeah I think it will be a similar booking to Kid Cudi. It just makes sense and gives people who don’t want to catch Lana something strong to see.

Cudi was scheduled for main and personally requested the Sahara
I don’t think Mall Grab will conflict with Peggy Gou. An easy fix is to switch him with Kolsch who would flow better in to Andriatique anyways.
What makes you say this?
I know they have conflicted similar genres in the past, but it feels like these are two of the best DJ's on Friday and have similar bases. I don't think they will schedule them against each other as a result. Mall Grab is better off in that 4-6 zone in my opinion with Peggy going on later. Kolsch is a better night time option with a smaller crowd.

Considering Peggy Gou has blown up to the point of mainstream now, her conflicting with Mall Grab won’t be much of an issue. Not like they have the same niche fanbase anymore.
