So what’s up with the jungle and orbital conflict because that would be criminal.
Orbital has to be at night and conflict with either Jungle, Blur, Gesaffelstein or Tyler (the headliner), and most people seem to think the most likely option is Jungle.
Can anyone think of nostalgia acts being booked in the Sonora? I’d strongly prefer to see the Adicts and Aquabats in there, but I can’t think of a precedent. Also, Paul clearly has nostalgia for old punk a la the Toy Dolls.

Orbital is probably at night but they did play CRSSD at 4pm fwiw

I feel like when it's 7pm in the tents it's plenty dark enough so I could see them bumping Orbital back a bit. But also I don't think Jungle is that much of a fanbase overlap that they'll do that so who knows

I'd love if they played at the same time as Gesa because I really don't have any interest in that, but shockingly they're not gonna schedule this solely for me :/

I have mixed emotions on Gesa. 2015 set slaps but the other one (22?? I can't remember the year right now) was weak imo. I will absolutely check him out, but I am still on the fence.
Okay I'll say it: it's time for a Coachella cum leak, even if its just a dribble. GV can only give us blue balls so many times before someone blows a load so messy that it scrambles the lineup placements.

2019. And yeah it was weak though I think that has to do with Hyperion being bad more than anything. Hopefully Gamma turns out good. If it's great I might try to see him again.

Honestly if he’s going to DJ it just better be Yuma. Same with Grimes. Let us know before we go.
Both would be such a bummer if they’re DJ sets, would make the lineup even less interesting. Those are two of the more unique bookings this year.
Grimes hasn’t done anything but DJ for several years and the picture she posted on her own IG is reminiscent of the AI visuals she used during her sets last year. If skepta djs he’ll 100% be in the Yuma so there won’t be any guessing there

The only acts at iii points that would be second line Coachella IMO are Iggy, Fred, and Skrillex. And she’s specially billed there. So: not sure that proves a point.

I posted this in the Main Coachella thread a few weeks ago, but Grimes posted this video of her singing and tagged Anyma and Coachella in it. It's possible she is just a guest for Anyma and does her regular DJ thing, but I'd say this makes it at least a bit more likely she performs live.

if Grimes does a dj set (which I’m assuming she will), it almost certainly wont be in Yuma. Sahara for sure. The venues idris had djd at were more in line with Yuma booking than grimes past sets
Also as per the anyma thing- she’s done guest live vocals at anymas sets recently.
She also had huge crowds at iii points and ultra and had big billing at ultra. Also forgot she played a huge stage at edc Vegas in 2022. Went on right after duck sauce who djd Sahara at chella that same year, for context
I definitely am more interested in seeing both of these as live acts rather than dj. Could it be possible for skepta to do both? Or maybe live and then dj Dolab or something, maybe mas tiempo takeover. I think there’s a better chance of him doing a live set with his upcoming album.
At this point there’s very little evidence to suggest grimes will play live (unfortunately,) and far more reason to believe she’ll do another Dj set.
