IsoKnock v Orbital v Brutalismus v Jungle is a uniquely unfortunate conflict for me that hopefully doesn't happen. Or at least split into 2 separate conflicts lol.
Also is it just me or did we have way more stage confirmations by this times last year?
Can we just have orbital close stage against Tyler or give them. 9:40-10:30 time slot
Tyler is top 3 most anticipated for me so that would be even worse for me. Personally during Gesa would be best, but that doesn't seem super likely so I'm just gonna hope for the best
deftones in a tent around sunset makes way more sense than main or outdoor during the day to me
The names we have there at the moment seem to be too absent of star power to hold down those stages through Skepta. Just seems off to me and Deftones would be an easy fix. I could be wrong, but while they have as many listeners as Blondie, I feel like they will have a larger base at Coachella. Obviously Millennials will come out, but Gen Z is high on them too. It could end almost end up being too packed for a tent and with a "lite" lineup they're even higher on peoples lists then they probably should be.
This will be my 17th Coachella, someone fill me in on this bleachers hype. What am I missing?
Jack Antonoff (i.e. Taylor Swift's current producer) is Bleachers.
Should have googled that before my post. Makes sense, but do we really think Taylor is gracing the fields and if she does I just see her and Travis on stage drinking. Go Chiefs!
I have a feeling it goes Sublime -> Jungle -> Blur -> Tyler. And Bleachers play the Outdoor.
Jungle on the Main Stage? I have a pretty hard time picturing that, but I suppose I've been wrong before.
Also I think billing would suggest that Sublime would basically have to get the later slot, so I feel like this is even more unlikely.
Honestly I kind of like the idea even if it isn't going to happen. Sublime in the daytime is better than Sublime in the nighttime anyway. Jungle would be pulling a Father John Misty. Bleachers gets the Dominic Fike-ish spot, sounds right on. The only thing that I don't like about it is where would you put LE SSERAFIM - outdoor sounds weird for K-Pop, I don't think they are as popular as BLACKPINK were in 2019 so maybe they could do Mojave (although they have some fucking bangers, my wife got into them and they have some songs that are way better than BLACKPINK), but there doesn't seem to be a lot of room for them in Sahara as it is and honestly I think Charlotte de Witte is pulling a Tale of Us/Jamie Jones and landing in there this year.
Was your confirmation about Ice Spice that she was "headlining" the Sahara or that literally she was the last act? Cause she's not conflicting with Tyler obviously but I think it is soooooo fucking lame to have the Sahara empty during a headliner. If there is any stage that can attract a full house regardless of who is on the main stage it's Sahara, and I do miss the amount of options for that last slot that we used to have.

I think the main might depend how they handle the scheduling. If it's closer to 2019 or 2022, I think Jungle -> Sublime -> Blur -> Tyler makes sense; that would put Jungle at sunset which strikes me as pretty ideal, and I think would they'd work fine on the main there.
Right now we have it scheduled more like 2023, which makes sense (particularly given the smaller number of acts + longer Blur set), but I hate it. So much downtime on the biggest stage at the best hours, it makes no sense. That said, I'm not sure why we're giving Gesaffelstein 1:15 right now when he got an hour in 2019 and has the same billing. If nothing else, I'd adjust everything up 15 minutes and cut him to an hour, ending when Tyler starts. And to be honest, I'd bump Tyler back 15 minutes as well; his sets look like they're typically 75-80 minutes. An hour 45 seems unlikely. If we did all of that and kept everything else the same, the 4th to last act would start at 6:25 on the main.

I could also see them closing out a stage from like 11:45/12-close. Even outdoor
You can't add No Doubt to your list on the app currently, so maybe they are switching Balvin is strong enough to be a proper sub. No Doubt into Tyler would be pretty fun actually
Saw on Reddit that there is apparently a rumor on the No Doubt forums (lmao) that they have been moved to Saturday?
Blur is the least popular sub so it's not unbelievable to have No Doubt play before Tyler and have Blur on during sunset
Sublime --> Blur --> No Doubt --> Tyler would also really help the Blur crowd out lmao. I want No Doubt on Sunday though because my Saturday has a crazy high conflict risk as it is.

Check out their BRIT awards performance from a couple weeks ago and skim through the VOLCANO movie they put out last year. I think they could add choreography and make the show look really cinematic, which would be perfect for main stage around sunset.
That would really open up the main on Sunday. You could slide Jhene or Khru to the main before Balvin, opening up a slot on the outdoor for 5ish maybe Tems?
just spitballing here, but maybe If No Doubt is closing the Main on Saturday, then Ice Spice could be closing Sahara at the same time, much later than when we currently have here. That would free up another slot in the Sahara though doing a quick skim of the artists we have in Mojave/Main/Outdoor I don't see a ton there that's begging to be moved - LE SSERAFIM in Sahara, maybe. I also posted this in the Coachella 2024 thread but I only see ND closing Main if it's Saturday, I don't think it would make sense for them to close after Lana or Doja. I could also see them playing before Tyler on Saturday as well though, I don't have a strong opinion about who goes first if they're both on Saturday. though I am compelled by the idea of ND closing main and Ice Spice closing Sahara at like 12 because then maybe we could resolve some of the Orbital/Jungle/ISOKnock clusterfuck by putting ISOKnock against Blur or Gesa instead

Yeah I saw that a couple days ago, but (and I may be wrong here) their recent sets like at Corona Capital and this one in Lisbon seem to rely somewhat heavily on their LED screen and lighting package. I feel like their set up at Coachella will more like these videos than that they had at the BRIT awards. Again I could be wrong here, but I feel like this is much more likely to be on the Outdoor after sunset vs on the Main while the sun is still out.
