This is so lame. Both times Gorgon City has done Coachella live it has been legendary, burn the stage down stuff. A DJ set is so unexciting.
Flight Facilities and Gorgon being DJ sets is indeed lame. At least we get Barry live. Just need to get confirmation on Grimes and Skepta now. The fact that Skepta wasn't on that Yuma list was encouraging at least.

Skepta is actively releasing new multiple singles as we speak. He'll be live, I'm not even sweating that. Grimes, who tf knows. I think what bums me out is that FF and GC both scratch a similar live itch, I could deal with one of them being a DJ set because I'd get similar vibes from the other one, you know what I mean?
EDITED: But yes Barry live is the ultimate win here.

So lame. Especially since they liked everyone’s comments on ig asking if they were playing live. Maybe they got bumped to the Yuma due to Vampire Weekend getting added to Friday last minute like Arcade fire two years ago. Probably not happening, but it’s what I’ve been telling myself today
No. Especially considering TV Girl and Ethel Cain played in there last year and are quite a bit more popular
TV girl hit capacity with a line by gobi
Yeah but they were still in it. I think it's pretty clear that Coachella hardly cares about an act being "too big" for a stage considering they book underplays literally every year.
Hell, Gorgon City in the Yuma is a way bigger underplay than Brutalismus in the Sonora.

I'm guessing a move to the Yuma also means they'll be conflicting with Justice.
The Yuma was running during headliners on Friday and Saturday last year at least (I'm not sure how long Beyer's set was Sunday), so with Gorgon closing it, I'm guessing they'll be after Justice, during Lana.

So Lana vs Gorgon vs Anti-Up? At least I'll have two options with a pulse Friday night.

As TME pointed out a couple weeks back, the highest billed Yuma act rarely closes.

They said on Insta they're "closing out the Yuma"
Yep, when I started reading the post and they said they were "headlining," I was like "great, thanks for nothing re: your set time." But then thankfully they were clear they're closing it out.

A little precocious. I think they try to balance things with counter programming but sometimes miss the mark.
