A few thoughts: - Olivia Dean and Korokoko are on there twice - Carin Leon and Jon Batiste feel more likely to be outdoor or main stage acts -I think Barry Can't Swim could be Mojave ala Fred Again.. -Taking Back Sunday and Boy Harsher could be late night Sonora acts -I'd be surprised if Mandy, Indiana isn't in the Sonora -LE SSERAFIM I feel would be main stage or Sahara -Erika on the outdoor feels wrong -If Skepta is a DJ set I think he'd be in Sahara or Yuma -I feel Japanese House is more apt for Mojave or Gobi -Eartheater could be Sonora -I could see Tyla on the main early and Faye in a tent

Friday - Selfishly want L'Imperatrice to play in Mojave at night. If they are placed there after Gorgon City, that would be a party. - everything always before justice doesn’t sit right with me for some reasons. Seems like everything always might be in the Sahara as counter programming to justice the same way two friends and metro boomin countered chemical brothers last year? I’d play around with putting lil uzi before justice - I’d be interested in a mock where no doubt goes on after Lana, as others have noted.
Saturday - Kevin Karrl seems perfect for Sonora no? - Jon batise seems more like a outdoor or main type of act
Okay I'll say it: it's time for a Coachella cum leak, even if its just a dribble. GV can only give us blue balls so many times before someone blows a load so messy that it scrambles the lineup placements.
FRI late night drive home > Sonora Lil Uzi Vert > Sahara (maybe) Gorgon City might be a DJ set so maybe Sahara or Yuma
SAT SPINALL into a tent, it'll likely be an Afropop DJ set I think Sublime will be later in the day especially if it's their first big show w/ Jakob LE SSERAFIM either main or Sahara Brutalismus 3000, Maz and Mahmut Orhan > Yuma Charlotte de Witte & The Blessed Madonna > Sahara Kenya Grace > anything other than the Sonora and put Mandy, Indiana, Kevin Kaarl and bar italia in there instead (maybe move The Red Pears out to make room)
SUN Hermanos Gutiérrez doesn't feel like a main stage act The Rose later in the day Mdou Moctar and Boy Harsher > Sonora Carin León > Outdoor or main Two Shell > Gobi Barry Can't Swim > Yuma
Praying that gorgon city does live set again with drums and live vocalists
I hope the Aquabats play the Sonora, but I can also see them on the Main Stage at 2pm
Can totally see them get the Bad Religion and AFI spot. Which means I have to get in early when all I want is a margarita by the pool during that time.

So Gorgon posted on their ig of their last Coachella set with they played live. I asked if they were bringing the live set back to to desert. Gorgon city then liked my comment. One can hope that confirms it’s a live set

Maybe a stupid question, but how often are DJ sets performed where the DJ is only playing their own music? I've always worked on the understanding a DJ set is blending artists. That's a big part of why I'm assuming Gorgon will be live.

I feel like this thread should be called "Coachella Set Time Predictions." I keep coming in here thinking it's gonna be roo. Just a friendly suggestion. mikey1313

Friday: I also think that Everything Always might be closing Sahara. It does seem like they fit the CL+Fisher Outdoor time but either/both of them can do that one of the other days too. Gorgon City had a sunset set last time IIRC and I think they probably will again. I selfishly want to find a way for L'Imperatrice to have a post-sundown set. They played the afternoon 2022 and at Portola 2022. It's surprising they're still billed quite as low as they are on this poster, but regardless I feel like they should at least get a bump. I could see a later Gobi set or something, but I'm not yet familiar enough with the lineup to know how other acts might move around.
Saturday: I just don't think Blur will be on that early. A former headliner doing their only US date of the year and still a sorta legendary act in their own right doesn't seem like something to play quite that early on a Saturday. I also kinda agree that No Doubt will likely be on Sunday, though I get if we want to stick with them on Saturday as it seems the last 2 years' have been intended to do. Getting rid of them and bumping mainstage up solves the Blur thing IMO. I also agree that Gesa is the natural Outdoor closer. But I think that Le Sserafim will probably be after dark. So I think something like bumping back Blur and Tyler to fill for No Doubt, moving Sublime to roughly where Blur was, making Jungle a bit earlier (still sunset) and putting Le Sserafim in between Jungle and Gesa might make sense.
edit: Just saw your comment about No Doubt not being Sunday
Sunday: I mean, this is probably a bad reason, but DJ Snake had basically the exact same 10PM Outdoor closing time in both 2017 and 2019, so IDK but I say we put him there again. I think TBS is more likely to be later and in a tent than early main. I think something like switching them with Renee Rapp could be likely.
At a glance, I'd just suggest - Chloe not being main opener, probably Mojave at some point? - No Doubt probably won't be after Tyler. I see him closing his stage. - Tems probably in the Mojave instead of Gobi
OPN closing down the Gobi on Saturday seems like the most obvious placement ever, but I reallyyyyy hope he's earlier in the evening. He's an amazing experience to see live and I'm stoked he's on the lineup, but not exactly the type of hype/dance vibes I'm usually looking for Saturday night at Coachella.

Roo one is just called “mock schedule thread 2024” but I can go in and add Bonnaroo to the title later
