Okay I'll say it: it's time for a Coachella cum leak, even if its just a dribble. GV can only give us blue balls so many times before someone blows a load so messy that it scrambles the lineup placements.

The movie is a musical that she is basically the star of. And it's clearly putting her music career on the map given her billings this year and being the guest on SNL (and imo her music is actually good too). Also she's becoming established as a queer icon. People are gonna be showing up for her

They also, from what I hear, re-tooled some of the music production in the movie to more closely fit her sound. In this case I think the various forms of celebrity she has going complement each other a lot.

I mean, it could happen but I don't think so. He was at Portola this year and that's booked by GV. Yuma is booked by Framework. Given the heat he's been having all year, I can't imagine GV not booking him as a Portola/Coachella package deal which says to me he won't be Yuma. Honestly Barry in the Mojave seems like one of the most sure things on this whole lineup. Which means he's sunset outdoor out of the blue come set times day, of course.
So I know there's a decent amount of talk about Sunday regarding acts that should be playing larger stages stages. Even though Sunday is considered the weak day, there is a ton of star power on those 2nd and 3rd lines, and I'm not sure who we should demote to the Gobi, or maybe early Outdoor slot.
I'm all for moving Renee to the Mojave or bigger, but we need to figure out who to move down. Definitely open to suggestions on this one.

Considering how much BCS is blowing up, wouldn't this mean Sahara would make more sense than trying to stuff him into an already weirdly packed Mojave on Sunday?

Looking at the Mojave Sunday, I could see literally anybody being moved out lol. Jockstrap could be anywhere, 88risingfutures, who knows what tf that is going to look like. Victoria Monet could possibly go Gobi, plenty of third liners last year were slotted there. Coi Leray could easily be early Sahara, and I still think Yachty is just too big for Mojave and needs to go Sahara as well.
Tems and Renee I think need bigger venues. Taking Back Sunday, maybe on the main just to have some rock presence but Mojave makes sense.
This is just for shits and giggles, I am probably missing somebody, but I could see it more like...
Tems --> Yachty --> Balvin --> Doja --> No Doubt main Renee --> Khruangbin --> Jhene --> Anyma outdoor The Rose in the Gobi, let's be real about their attendance despite billing Mojave names being Bicep, TBS, Carin (nobody that high has played Gobi since Throbbing Gristle right?), Victoria, Barry, Bebe (despite the hits not that many will prirotize her, she could totally do a tent) something like that Sahara being Coi, NAV, AP, Snake, Summit
Barry could also probably be Gobi, I think Overmono is the closest comp here.
Also FWIW, at Portola Two Shell was booked in the Gobi equivalent, not the Warehouse where the Yuma type names all go. It did not feel like a Yuma set at all. It was really weird, there were props, etc.
But also if you heard Sahara is now going to be way bigger and more diverse genre wise, maybe it's not wild to say that somebody like Jhene or Tems or whatever plays the Sahara. Obviously that is such a stark departure that we shouldn't count on it but who knows.

True, but I just checked his show at the Independent in SF (500 cap) and it's going for $300+ on Stubhub lol. His Phoenix show is reasonable, but both the Portland and Seattle shows are $100+ as well. Those venues were way too small.
I just moved a bunch of things around on Sunday curious what people think. Using some suggestions from Travelfan is helping Sunday this look a lot more correct, at least in my opinion.
Hey Mikey, Id switch Tinashe and Ken Carson on Friday if you’re keeping Ken in Mojave. The overlap of Ken Carson fans who are also Deftones fans is almost a perfect circle, and Id think crowd size would be comparable to Tinashe’s.

I have tickets to the Phoenix show and just got an announcement that it’s almost sold out. I don’t know what the exact capacity is of the venue, but would assume it’s probably 1500ish as it’s a 31,000 sq ft warehouse space. If you’re ever in Phoenix it’s a really cool venue put together by a bunch of Burning Man art car people. Definitely encourage you to check it out as it’s very interactive.
my very small nitpicky suggestion for Sunday is to shuffle Sonora set times / order around so there's no conflict between Mdou Moctar and Khruangbin, maybe swap Mdou Moctar and feeble little horse? Sonically they occupy a pretty similar lane (worldly psychedelic guitar-based rock music) so I imagine almost anyone who is interested in seeing Mdou Moctar is likely to be interested in Khruangbin as well, the current set times would cannibalize Mdou Moctar's crowd.
