I realllllly don't want No Doubt to play before 11 because there is so much I want to see Saturday 7-11, but Sublime --> Blur --> No Doubt --> Tyler makes way more sense.
But do ND and Blur both get lengthy sets. ( i know the clash finder says what it says, but who knows what they decide )

I think we've had Khruangbin on the Outdoor at what is technically the sunset slot for most of the time now. If we move them to the later slot, they'll be starting about right when it's completely dark out, vs where we have them now, where they'll be ending as the sun is going down.
Was their word that the Sahara would be incorporating more music beyond just DJs/electronic? I wonder if there were some DJs going on main?
Also I really can’t imagine Grimes on any stage smaller than Sahara, and don’t understand the CDW closing Mojave either.
I believe they were saying that the Sahara would continue to book non-electronic acts, not that they would go out of their way to book more there than they had before.

Sunset in Indio on April 14 is 7:15pm (sunset being the moment the sun is officially below the horizon, though still not dark). I agree that the time we have now is definitely not sunset.

If that's how it ended then yeah, I wouldn't call that a sunset slot. The sun is still out (you can see shadows); it's the start of golden hour, but they literally didn't play during sunset.

Yeah, I mean - this is at 6:35pm and the sky is still blue:
There aren't shadows at least (thanks to the palm trees) but the sun still hasn't dipped below the horizon. Even if you don't want to get pedantic about the definition of sunset, it doesn't even start to look like sunset until at least 5 songs into Sofi's set. Anyhoo. If Krhuangbin is sunset outdoor, they should be starting no earlier than 6:15 IMO.

Okay, I don't see why a sunset slot means that they would have to start at sunset and end in darkness vs starting at golden hour and ending as the sun is setting. Sure, we can try and shift them up by like 5-10 minutes (we already have them starting at 6:10, I'm not sure moving them up by 5 minutes is really going to move the needle on if most people would consider that the "golden hour" or "sunset slot") but if we move them to the later slot (where Jhene Aiko is) that's not a sunset slot, that's a night slot.
This Sofi Tukker slot WAS the sunset Outdoor set Saturday last year, since they ended as the sun was going down....otherwise we're suggesting that nobody got the sunset slot on the Outdoor Saturday last year.
