What are the odds Justice and Deftones are during the same time? Is it more likely that Bizarrap is during Justice? Justice and Deftones clashing would take out my top 2.
Was this a live set of Barry Can’t Swim or him djing?
This is my other question - was he doing standard DJ sets last year, mixing a variety of his and other tunes? Because at his most recent UK shows he was doing this - live drumming and instrumentation, and almost exclusively his own music. I think this is what we're going to get, and it's absolutely not going to be Yuma if so. He also had guests at at least one of those UK shows, having Låpsley sing on Woman (maybe others as well, she's just the one the Guardian mentioned). Sunset Mojave. I take it back, I don't want him conflicting with Khruangbin (who I think we have too early and will get a sunset slot).
Regarding BCS in the Yuma, I of course agree that if he does his live set, he will play elsewhere. The two times I saw him in the states (Life is Beautiful & Portola) I don't believe he had a drummer or vocalists? Unless he brought them out near the end, because I admittedly left both sets a little early.

Pretty sure these are totally different sets. Seems like last year was DJ sets and since releasing his album it’s been live. We’ll know for sure in Feb but I’m guessing it’ll be live.
I could see Brutualismus 3k closing Gobi a la Nia Archives but at the same time OPN works there as well so idk
I think they need to be in Yuma- peep their boiler room. Knowing that Yuma and Sonora book separately than the rest of the festival, I kind of think it’s more likely B3000 will be in one of those.

I’ve seen their boiler room, which is kinda why I think they could late in Sonora. They have a lot of live vocals, which I’m sure has happened in Yuma before but I can’t think of it off the dome.
Oh yeah I see I fucked up the stage name in my original post. Meant Sonora, not Gobi.

Also - I'm curious if we might need to have Hatsune Miku close a tent? I'm assuming it's a bit of a production to get the glass screen (which I'm guessing needs to cover most if not all of the front of the stage) and projection set up right, but I could be wrong.

These are throwbacks but I know SOPHIE and Yaeji when they were first around and in the Yuma had live vocals, and I know that more recent acts have as well. Acts with "live" components are definitely less likely to be in the Yuma but in general I think simply having live vocals isn't a very strong indicator.
I'd also bet Brutualismus is Sonora ala Ela Minus and Nia Archives.
This is what I originally had on the mock, but someone thought we should move them to Yuma. I do personally still agree that Sonora probably makes a bit more sense.

This was my original thought as well, though I'm not totally sure if it would indeed require closing a stage...
We could possibly do a three way switch with Hatsune, Oneohtrix and The Drums if we think Hatsune should close the Gobi instead of Oneohtrix.

You're probably right. But gosh I would hate a Miku and Tyler clash

Its not perfect but I definitely think it’s a decent indictor. Plus they’re probably gonna do at least a portion of their set as a live set.
I moved Barry Can't Swim out of the Yuma and into the Sahara at 3:50. Wanted to try and put him in the Mojave, but not sure if that's possible without having someone like Nav or Coi Leray in the Sahara before 4.

Flo Milli was in the Sahara before 4. Could see that for Coi. Not NAV.

Isn't Coi Leray a lot bigger that Flo Milli was last year? 4rd name on the 3rd line vs 7th name on the 4th line.

This is excellent as always! Thank you for the work you put in to this exercise every year. It is definitely appreciated. I hate to be the person who raises an issue without any possible solution. I would have no idea where to begin. If the rumor is true that Sahara will be less electronic oriented acts I’d say it must be pretty far off here. This mock seems to have a much higher percentage of those genres than even just last year. Just my two cents sorry I don’t have any idea how you could fix this lol! Thanks again
I just looked at Sunday, and I don't doubt your skills here, but I REALLY hope this is way off. I have so many conflict.
Also Sublime and Orbital conflict has me cringing. I know Sublime is easy to catch in Socal, but not so much in Indiana. Those were two big must sees for me, so I might have to split sets if this is right.
Okay I'll say it: it's time for a Coachella cum leak, even if its just a dribble. GV can only give us blue balls so many times before someone blows a load so messy that it scrambles the lineup placements.
