The Chiefs' owner got an F- on the recent players survey for his unwillingness to invest in a new locker room and facilities. I guess he's consistently a cheap bastard. God this is such a bad look for Reid and the players that participated in this lol.
I didn’t subject myself to much Broncos football this year. Was Russ actually decent this year or is that people looking at stats and not watching?
His stats are misleading. He was…fine. He was fat and slow in 2022 in the Hackett season. This past year, he was definitely in better shape and was much more mobile. He’s just a very limited QB. He can’t throw over the middle (never has been able to) and it’s pretty clear he doesn’t have a great grasp of reading defenses and getting the offense set up successfully.
If his first read doesn’t work, he resorts to scrambling around and heaving it deep. He can’t maintain a fast paced complicated offense which is a basic requirement for Sean Payton.
Courtland Sutton also absolutely bailed out Russ on an assload of TDs on scramble heaves. Court had 3 of the 10 best catches last year…all on scramble heaves:
