I'm at the point in my life where I would much rather savor my days than forget them
Edit: Also, I covered this in a previous round but Xanax killed one of my best friend's brothers and another friend of mine (he had a heart defect that he didn't know about).
Dumb vote yesterday. Some of you will look in the mirror today and realize that yes, there is a giant tattoo saying "I'm an idiot" on your forehead. That's okay though. The world doesn't function without idiocy.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Nope. I looked. No tattoo.
You of all people, an ex-pharmacological student, knows there are no real side effects from nitrous. Look a little closer next trip by the mirror.
When they came out with Xanax, they said it was non addicting. Lolololololololololololololol
i think i posted about this in an earlier thread but a friend of mine was on that shit for i think fifteen years? i don't even know how long its been around. i was in the meeting when he first came in and watching him mentally and emotionally withdraw from that shit took YEARS. he was and remains to this day the most miserable son of a bitch i've ever interacted with. like Eeyore if he was, well i guess if he was Eeyore trying to kick a xanax addiction.
but man he persisted and one day he started coming out of it and smiling and cracking jokes about himself. it was pretty amazing. finally turned into a happy chill sober dude. shout out to Sad Ronnie who isn't sad anymore.

and i know xanax and lots of these other drugs have provided positive benefits for many when used correctly. Fitter Happier and i are just contractually bound to come in here and share our junkie stories.
luckily eventually we'll get to talk about acid which was my favorite drug and never hurt anybody at all.

i am preparing my written endorsing statements for shrooms + acid as we near closer to the finals. for both, it is really all about finding the right dose that makes it a good and special experience while not overly fucking you up. and neither is addictive physically whatsoever.
tbh im ready to start voting alcohol whenever--meth and opiates are already gone, and xanax looks to be next, so alcohol will be the remaining most harmful societally and individually. but i know it wont get much traction this early on lol

Sort of random, but do you have an opinion on gabapentin? They gave it to my stepdad for pain, and it seemed like it was another one of those “oh this will be great and solve everything and no one will get addicted to it” drugs that always seem to turn out to be a lot less great than they promise. I don’t think he had a particular problem with it, but as far as I know, he didn’t start taking it until relatively late in the game. I’m just curious if my perspective on it was skewed.
I have also given it to two of my dogs. I think it helped them but who really can say.
