Piggybacking off of T-heart’s post, also very cool to just slice the kernels off a few ears of fresh corn and pan sautee. Similarly, raw corn also tastes good and is a frequent addition to bowls of summer salsa me or my kids make though once in a while we will char it. Fresh corn (raw included) goes great over fish with your other toppings.
Got the younger kid's opinion, "Fuck cauliflower. It somehow tastes like nothing and like shit at the same time."
Raised properly. Here’s some random cauliflower hate from a half hour ago. Nurse friend was giving report end of shift and mentions they often suffer from tonsillitis. Guy taking report says oh you get those tonsil stones sometimes? And she was like yeah it almost feels like that (she’s ill now). Then called me on speaker. What did you used to call those white things that get stuck in the slots of your throat every now and again. Throat cauliflowers. They busted out laughing and I reminded them that they both look and smell like cauliflower though luckily it’s been ages since I had one of those. Nurse guy busts out a yeah they smell like ass. Next time you push one out or dig it with a paperclip, look at it closely and smell. Then imagine yourself dunking it in some fake ass shit like Velveeta and consuming. Mmm. Cauliflower.
