Wash Camper & Pickup and check tire pressures. Pack Clothes Buy Beer, Vodka and Ice Food (frig is on in the camper) Clean up the house so my sister-in-law can watch the dogs Mow the Lawn Have Fathers day today since we will be gone next week. Go to work for 2 1/2 days
Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature.
I'm packing and organizing tools and first-aid stuff today and it's kind of freaking me out - I can't believe it's almost here!! And for some reason I have a million bungee cords and everything smells like beer. I think the cats are catching on that I'm about to leave and they aren't very happy.
If I had to venture a quess, I'd say in case it rains. Put it on the ground in your site and you won't be living in mud. Wood chips also work great for this.
What do we have left???
Dry run of packing the car to make sure everything fits. Bottle and Keg the homebrew we are bringing. Sun Screen Food Purchase Welsh and Scottish flags Load iPod with essential tunes for the trip Continue making blocks of ice for cooler.
That's about it. Last day of work was yesterday, but not leaving till Tuesday night, so plenty of time to get ready.
oil change/rotate tires mud boots? clean apt. start organizing/packing laundry locate dry ice borrow extra cooler/camp table from friend get food/beer/liquor organize some cd's to take that are not on the ipod
sit here calmly at work for 7 more minutes before my vacation starts...

OK we know what the hay is for now but...... What are "under armour shorts jobbies" ?????? BTW I did some of my list today
under armour shorts jobbies (they make them for boys too): tinyurl.com/ekec2
they're s'posed to help with chafing and keep you dry! goldbond scares me so this seems like a good idea, was suggested by a fellow inforooster
and i just set up my tent with the new cot in it! it's like a little studio apartment in there, and there's a pocket that perfectly holds my uber fan to blow on said cot. gyahhhh happy
Because I'm the only preparation-obsessed individual, we've got a ways to go. My friends still have to do a good amount of their general supply shopping and planning. Luckily we got that on the road last night with, I nuts you not, a planning meeting. The result of which is a nice master list of everything we have and need. I myself am not without tasks of my own...
- Buy some food items - Pre-cook shredded barbecue chicken - Pick and pre-cook another lunch/dinner item - Maybe prescramble eggs and put them in a squeeze bottle, if I feel we're going to have quality sanitary conditions - Do mock run of camp site, I have the shade tent up already, need to see how tents/tarps/etc fit in with it. - Pack in general - Make Bonnaroo Artist Sampler CDs - Find Zip ties for tarp attachment purposes
Edit: I was gonna change "nuts you not" to what it was originally supposed to be, but "nuts you not" is a very funny phrase.
I just need to food shop (tuesday night), pick up the RV (wednesday day), drop the kids off with Grandma (wednesday day), and head to the Roo (wednesday hopefully around 3pm-4pm)

Good lord. Today is the day for getting everything together.
This afternoon I will set up the tents and make sure I have all the parts. I'm also going to find the sleeping bag, get the old cooler out and wash it out, and look into getting some dry ice.
Then it's off to the camping store to try to get a battery operated fan and a solar shower. Also to Best Buy to get a boom box and batteries.
Gotta buy:
Water Snacks (I'm not cooking at camp this time) Beer Soda Wet Wipes Advil Band Aids Shades (Can you buy these at Bonnaroo) Sunscreen Gold Bond Tarp Cigarettes
I'm trying to think if there's anything else, but that's probably it for now. Thanks for letting me think out loud.
