Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I will be in the access camp but I will come by and hang out. By the way on my profile I put that I am an addiction therapist. Don't worry I will be off duty....... besides I only work with 12-14 year old hardcore addicts.
I always get a lot of crap on fest when people ask what I do. I am not a drug nazi just work with problem kids.
I'm trying to convince a fellow member of my group to go to tent only. This is our first year and he wants to use his car to lock his stuff in it, and he's worried about his car or valuables in the tent and whether they will get stolen if we move to camp only. Any suggestions to help me convince him to move to tent only will be very helpful to my cause!
And if I do get him with me on going to tent only, definitely put me and my two friends in the camp list. I'll tell you for sure whether or not we are, so I guess I'm pending for now. Maybe I'll just camp on my own...
Anyhow, I love the site and the information you have up here! Just about any question I can think of have been asked and answered here.
I am a newby here and have been reading all your threads. Me and my sister will be coming to Bonnaroo for the first time. We would love to join the tent only Camp Inforoo campers but are you getting too big? Will two more be too many?
There is no such thing as too many I will put ya on the list

Well the best way to keep your stuff safe isnt to lock it in your car, its to have good neighbors, and thats pretty much guarenteed at the inforoost.
Yeah, that's the idea I get from people forming groups like this. Well I'll do my best to get in tent only. And if he's really against it I may just bring my own tent and head there on my own. It'd be nice to see all the people that make this board work so well.

this might be a random question but does anyone have advice on which entrance is best for getting parked near tent only? we're planning on bringing some carts to lug our sh!t with but i'm hoping it's not a ridiculously long haul. Any thoughts, veteran camp inforooster?

My advice would be to enter through the Bonnaroo-only exit directly off of I-24. I've never had a bad spot using that entrance and last year I was camped directly behind tent-only.
Seems like the festival planners would have a parking lot relatively near Tent Only that those folks could park in. They wouldn't have to leave much space since there would be no camping there. Just a thought.... Hey do any of you inforoo chieftans know any of the planners?

Tent-only would fill up in an hour if people could park right beside it. That's one of the things they use to control the number of people using the space. If you're within 10 minutes of tent-only, most people will just camp where they are. I believe they intended it to be an option primarily for those stuck on the outside edges.

Yes I see your point. Seems like they would let you drive by and dump your stuff. However, I know not the logistics of parking some 50K cars in a day!
The idea of dragging all my stuff to tent only so I can be with the really cool people... WHEW I can't imagine.
"Stealing? How could you?! Haven’t you learned anything from that guy who gives those sermons at church? Captain What’s-his-name? We live in a society of laws. Why do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies? For fun? Well, I didn’t hear anybody laughin’, did you? Except at that guy who made sound effects. Where was I? Oh yeah -- stay out of my booze."
You seem to be the one who is talking about flags. I wonder if we could get some small flags made up for folks who are in car/tent, vip, unofficial vendors, to display so we know where our friends are. Plus, it sould be a really cool souvineer to take home. Will it have the year date on it? Will it be like the design of the 2007 t-shirts?

I'm so torn about tent-only. I would love to join in but I am a notorious overpacker and unfortunately it runs in my family and I'm coming with my sister. Just how bad is the hike with all your stuff
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
if we have space we will be bringing a wagon. i wouldnt have a problem leaving it at camp inforoo for everyone to use as needed. if it fits ill bring it.

The funny thing is I think the farther out we're parked the more likely we are to join in the tent only crowd. I'm thinking that's when it will be most worth it. I was thinking about bringing a hand truck and some bungees. How would that fair on the gravel roads? I thought they would be easy to pack, just in case.

i second that, i'm bringing a wagon too and if someone needs it, they're more than welcome to borrow it....

I'M COMING TO BONNAROO!!! Hey everyone, long time no see. Up until recently it didn't look good for me making it to 'roo this year, that's why I've been laying low (too heartbreaking to see everyone excited bout going when I wouldn't). But, now things have changed, i.e. I won't be out of a job at the end of April, and it looks like I'm going to make it (providing I can get the scratch for a tix or win that giveaway thingie)! Considering I started up this whole Camp Inforoo thing, it wouldn't be right if I wasn't there, so... COUNT ME IN! Can't wait to see everyone from last time (even the weenies who are going VIP) and meet all of the new folks, it's gonna be a blast! Leo P.S. It's absolutely unreal to see how huge Camp Inforoo has gotten! The first year I set it up (from the Bonnaroo listserv at that time) we had a grand total of 3 people (including me). I can't get over what a great vibe we have here at Inforoo.

^^ so glad that you are gonna make it - the baby flag will be flying with its rightful owner!!!

I've been reading this board for weeks now, and I've finally decided to post :-P
This will be my first bonnaroo, and my first festival where I will be camping. Oh and did I mention I'm going by myself? haha it sounds like it will be a blast though. Any info or incite would be greatly appreciated.
Seeing that I'm a newbie, I think it would be nice to "kinda" know some people and camp with you guys.
